Hello, for possible sale is my 1993 Subaru Impreza LS. The car runs
amazing, trans shifts very smooth, etc. There is literally nothing wrong
with the car mechanically.
The car has maintanace records dating back from 2010 till just recently. Anything that could have been replaced on the car had been replaced. Shocks, struts, t belt, pumps, pads, tires, oil, seals, gaskets, etc. There is nothing left to replace on the car ag this point. It gets 22-25mpg city, is reliable, light, fun to drive because of its size, and its got the awesome subie styling, its a daily drivers dream. The only things that are annoying, is that the bumper is sagging a bit, theres a dent on the passenger side, the wheels can use a re-balance, and the recently put in foglights need a new fuse. No idea ehat happened with the bumper/passenger side, hasnt effected performance at all and is just cosmetic so no fault on the last owner. So thats pretty much the story. Any questions if i missed something, just email me. Im in no rush whatsoever to sell the car as its my second car, but for the right offer i wouldnt mind. Ill entertain all offers as long as its not rediculously low. Looking to hop into a older TDI, id like to give a shot at diesels, so if you have one to trade/sell let me know and we can work something out, this is the only car id consider a trade for and it has to be MANUAL. If you need anything, my name is Frank. PS::: I Will pull the item before 12 hours of end of sale, if im either not satisfied with the bids or I need to talk with a buyer for longer. Please get in contact with me BEFORE ENTERING A BID, so i can speak to potential buyers personally. If you do not message me at all, I WILL REJECT YOUR BID. I am extremely flexible with the price, dont hesitate to barter with me within reason. If you offer me 500 dollars, obviously dont expect a happy response. Again, i would prefer a trade like stated above with money on top or vice versa, thank you. |

Subaru WRX STI Type RA NBR Special is nearly as fast as a Porsche 918 Spyder at the Nurburgring
Fri, Jul 21 2017Subaru now claims to have the fastest sedan to circle the Nurburgring. Its (deep breath) WRX STI Type RA NBR Special finished a lap of the famed German racetrack in an incredibly fast 6:57.5. That's just half a second behind the Porsche 918 Spyder hypercar. Of course, this WRX STI is a specially-built racecar, a rather distant cousin of the WRX STI Type RA production car that takes its name from this race car. The Type RA NBR Special is an upgraded version of the car Subaru took to the Isle of Man time trial last year, where it broke Subaru's old record. The car was built by Prodrive, and it features a 2.0-liter turbocharged flat-four made for rally use. It now makes over 600 horsepower at 8,500 rpm, which is 50 more than it made last year. The aerodynamic aids have been updated, and they provide 650 pounds of downforce at the car's top speed. The car still has the power-adjustable rear wing from last year. At the press of a button, the driver can change the angle of the rear wing to reduce drag and increase speed on straights. Supporting the power and aerodynamic upgrades are 9-inch wide slick tires at each corner, and a rally-spec sequential transmission that can shift gears in 20 to 25 milliseconds. Related Video:
New Subaru Levorg teased ahead of Tokyo Motor Show
Mon, Sep 30 2019While we only get a sedan version of the Subaru WRX in the U.S., Japan has had a wagon version to go along with it called the Levorg. The Subaru Levorg is about to get a big update, too, since the company teased a new generation for the Tokyo Motor Show. Based on the teaser image and video, the new Levorg's styling will be evolutionary. The various creases along the side have a bit more curve to them to emphasize the bulging fenders. The lines also look similar to those of the Subaru Viziv Tourer concept shown at the Geneva Motor Show last year. The current Subaru Levorg is offered with either a 1.6-liter turbocharged flat-four or the WRX's turbocharged 2.0-liter engine. We wouldn't be surprised if those engines carry over to the new model with some minor changes. Curiously, the current model also only comes with a CVT, which will probably continue to be the only transmission option. We would be more disappointed by that if the Levorg had any chance of coming to America. That said, if there are any Subaru product planners reading, the Levorg might sell well here if it was given a small suspension lift and fender flares. Call it the Crosstrek+ or Crosstrek XL or something like that. The turbo 1.6-liter would be a nice upgrade over the naturally aspirated 2.0-liter engine. And there are probably some old WRX hatchback fans who would love the turbo 2.0-liter Levorg, provided a manual was made available.
Subaru might build WRX hatchback after all
Fri, 04 Apr 2014The 2015 Subaru WRX is awesome. Really awesome. We told you as much in our first drive of the new sedan back in December. Honestly, our only complaint about Fuji Heavy's new performance machine is that it's no longer offered as a hatchback - the new WRX is a sedan-only affair, despite the more functional five-door variant accounting for some 50 percent of sales in the car's last generation.
But there's hope on the horizon, if a report from Australia's Motoring.com is to be believed. Speaking with Masuo Takatsu, Subaru's general manager for the WRX, the company is now re-considering putting the "hatch" back in its hot hatch.
"We have received strong interest from the US, where the hatchback was 50 percent (of previous-generation WRX sales), so we're now considering," Takatsu told Motoring, noting that the United States is Subaru's main target for this car. Additionally, Takatsu said the company's decision to only offer the sedan was the result of limited engineering resources, echoing statements we've previously heard from Subaru's US arm.
