2003 Subaru Baja Thank you for looking at my 2003 Subaru Baja. This is a great car and a very rare find. I inherited this vehicle about 2 months ago and have no need for it. The vehicle is PA inspected until 10/14. When I received the car I knew it needed some work so I took it to a local shop to have the following work done. All work has less than 100 miles on it.
I know that before I inherited the vehicle my grandmother had the front bumper and front drivers side fender painted, It looks very nice and shiny. The only problems I know of on the vehicle are that the pass. side power windows (front and back) are touchy with the switches. The drivers side switch seems to work the two pass. windows sometimes, and their switches seem to work sometimes, and sometimes neither (never stuck down). The back axle sounds like it could be replaced and other than that probably just plugs and wires. She runs and drives well and for being 11 years old looks pretty appealing. It does have your normal nick and chips as well as about 2-3 small dings which I tried to picture but they we so minimal it was hard to catch. If you have any questions or concerns please ask before bidding. Do not bid on this item if you do not plan on paying for it. This is a no reserve auction and will be sold to the highest bidder. There is a required deposit of $500 via paypal within 12 hours of the auction end. The remainder of the funds are to be paid upon pick up in cash. This vehicle is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time due to a sale. Again this is a great car and will treat someone well. Get a piece of this awesome Subaru. Thanks Happy Bidding. |

2015 Subaru Legacy spills out ahead of Chicago
Tue, 04 Feb 2014Subaru has been one of the industry's hottest automakers, recording record sales month after month. Those handsome figures have come largely on the backs of its crossover lineup, however - models like Forester, Outback and XV Crosstrek have been carrying all the water. The Japanese marque has seen less noteworthy performance out of its midsize sedan, the Legacy, but a new one is slated to be revealed later this week at the Chicago Auto Show, and it hopes to improve the company's family sedan fortunes.
Leaked here in these first photos, the 2015 Legacy picks up some cues from the brash Legacy Concept revealed at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, but it loses some impact and gains a pair of rear doors versus the showcar. There's little new visual ground broken, but the overall look is more harmonious than its balloon-fendered predecessor. As is often the case, it has features that make us think of other cars, but overall, it looks to be a handsome (if conservative) design. We particularly like the sleeker roofline and the bold front grille treatment - the latter will likely serve well as the face of the next Outback.
Subaru has traditionally offered function-over-form interiors, and while the new dashboard remains visually staid, it looks to have picked up a number of nice new features, including improved HVAC controls, a new steering wheel and freshened touchscreen navigation system.
Cosworth teases upgrades for Subaru BRZ
Mon, 19 May 2014Subaru may or may not produce an STI version of the BRZ. Things seem to go back and forth on the subject. But Subaru Tecnica International isn't the only company with a history of tuning Subies. So does Cosworth, and now the British racing firm appears to be turning its attention to the BRZ and its Toyota- and Scion-badged siblings.
For those unacquainted, Cosworth is more than your average tuning company. It's a racing firm first and foremost, having made F1 engines under its own name as well as Ford's (chief among them the all-conquering DFV 3.0-liter V8 of 1960s and 70s fame), not to mention engines for Indy, rally and even high-performance, road-going versions of the Ford Sierra, Chevy Vega and Mercedes 190E. The list goes on and on, but you get the point.
Now withdrawing from Formula One, Cosworth is focusing its attention on tuning road cars again with the launch of the Cosworth Power Package line, the first of which will focus on the Toyota GT86 (aka Scion FR-S) and Subaru BRZ. We don't know just yet what will be included in the packaged dubbed FA-20, but from the video teaser below, it seems there'll be upgrades to the exhaust, suspension, aero and - if we're lucky - maybe a super- or turbocharger for the 2.0-liter flat-four engine. We'll have to wait and see, but we get the feeling that with Cosworth on the job, it'll be worth the wait. Check out the minute-long video below in the meantime.
Toyota GT86 engineer Tada recounts how sports car came to be
Wed, 13 Feb 2013Because the Toyota GT86, Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ coupes are now a reality, it's almost hard to imagine the struggle that had to happen within the large, conservative corporate structures at both automakers for the joint project to even get off of the ground.
Speaking to those struggles on Toyota UK's Toyota Blog, GT86 Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada enlightens us with a recap of the sports car's earliest origins. For Tada, the first stages of the project must have seemed almost as dreamlike as the final product is to drive.
Said the Chief, "I had been working in the minivan department engineering new product, but a month after the meeting I was summoned. 'Forget about minivans,' they said, 'you are now working on the sports-car project.'"
