2003 SUBARU BAJA AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION 157k Commuter Miles Fully Maintained Hello and Thanks for stopping by. Up for auction we have another hard to find 2003 Subaru Baja in very good condition for its age, with 0 mechanical issues. It has everything you could ever ask for in a Subaru Pick-Up truck, and is one of the most reliable vehicles on the road. It comes equipped with a smooth shifting automatic transmission, Leather interior, a Cd player, good tires, Ice Cold AC, and Subarus World Famous Symetrical ALL WHEEL DRIVE. This would make a perfect 4X4 work/play truck for someone, or a Safe, Reliable ALL YEAR ROUND Commuter vehicle. Bajas are very versatile with the handling of a Subaru yet the convenience of having a small trunk bed to carry larger items. Cosmetically: This Baja looks great and shines like new. The body is straight with no dents or major dings. There are only a few light scratches and maybe 1 shopping cart ding which can be expected with any AWD pick up truck. The front bumper tow hitch cover is missing as you can see in the pictures, I will try to locate another. The Interior looks to be clean and in very good condition. One small tear in the drivers seat from getting in and out of the vehicle which is very common. Other then a few small cosmetic imperfections, this Suby will make someone very happy for many years. Please view pictures to see how nice this Baja shines... Bajas are becoming very rare and if you are lucky enough to get your hands on one you keep it. They stopped making them back in 06 due to slow sales at the time but nowadays they are more wanted then ever. They should bring the Baja back for 2015, with a BIGGER BED, T-Tops, and an optional V6 engine (Non-Turbo... Turbos only = problems). We need work power not speed. It is the ONLY Subaru AWD Pick-Up Truck available (besides the old Subaru Bratt). Call to make offers or to find out what other Subarus we have for sale. These are the cars with the best and worst depreciation after 5 years
Thu, Nov 19 2020The average new vehicle sold in America loses nearly half of its initial value after five years of ownership. No surprise there; we all expect that shiny new car to start depreciating as soon as we drive it off the lot. But some vehicles lose value a lot faster than others. According to data provided by iSeeCars.com, trucks and truck-based sport utility vehicles generally hold their value better than other vehicle types, with the Jeep Wrangler — in both four-door Unlimited and standard two-door styles — and Toyota Tacoma sitting at the head of the pack. The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited's average five-year depreciation of 30.9% equals a loss in value of $12,168. That makes Jeep's four-door off-roader the best overall pick for buyers looking to minimize depreciation. The Toyota Tacoma's 32.4% loss in initial value means it loses just $10,496. The smaller dollar amount — the least amount of money lost after five years — indicates that Tacoma buyers pay less than Wrangler Unlimited buyers, on average, when they initially buy the vehicle. The standard two-door Jeep Wrangler is third on the list, depreciating 32.8% after five years and losing $10,824. Click here for a full list of the top 10 vehicles with the least depreciation over five years. On the other side of the depreciation coin, luxury sedans tend to plummet in value at a much faster rate than other vehicle types. The BMW 7 Series leads the losers with a 72.6% drop in value after five years, which equals an alarming $73,686. BMW's slightly smaller 5 Series is next, depreciating 70.1%, or $47,038, over the same period. Number three on the biggest losers list is the Nissan Leaf, the only electric vehicle to appear in the bottom 10. The electric hatchback matches the 5 Series with a 70.1% drop in value, but since it's a much cheaper vehicle, that percentage equals a much smaller $23,470 loss. Subaru posts 15.7% rise in fill-year operating profit
Mon, May 18 2020TOKYO — Subaru on Monday posted a 15.7% rise in annual operating profit in the fiscal year that ended in March as it recovered from a raft of product recalls last year, but warned that sales of its cars would take a hit from the coronavirus outbreak. Profit rose to 210.3 billion yen ($1.96 billion) for the year just ended, from 181.7 billion yen a year earlier under international financial reporting standards. It exceeded a consensus estimate of 204.7 billion yen profit drawn from 17 analysts polled by Refinitiv. Global automakers are struggling to recover from the coronavirus, which has pummeled car sales as shelter-in-place orders in many countries clobbered car demand, while plant workers had been left unable to commute to work. Though Subaru and its rivals have begun to restart vehicle factories, anaemic demand, supply chain disruption and social distancing measures at factories are expected to limit output in the coming months. "We saw a limited impact of the coronavirus on our results for the year just ended," Chief Executive Tomomi Nakamura told a teleconference. "But although we have resumed production this month, we are only operating one shift in Japan, and the pace of U.S. output has slowed significantly ... we see many uncertainties related to the virus." As a result, the maker of the Outback and Forester SUV crossovers declined to give an earnings forecast for the current business year, while it slashed its year-end dividend for the year just ended by 61% to 28 yen per share. Some analysts believe industry-wide global auto sales could slump by a third this year and that any recovery will be slow and patchy as job losses and reduced incomes weigh on consumer spending. Subaru, which earns two-thirds of its vehicle sales from the United States, acknowledged that it may take a hit in the coming months as its biggest market struggles get the coronavirus pandemic under control. The automaker saw a 3% rise in global vehicle sales in the year to March to 1.03 million units, bouncing back from last year, when a defective steering component and measures to improve inspection tests had stopped output for two weeks at its sole assembly plant in Japan. The process to restart its U.S. plants would take time, Subaru said, and it expects to produce only around 5,000 units this month, a fraction of last year's 40,000. The virus would result in a global production hit of around 150,000 units, it added.
