Selling my 05 subaru STi, it has 48k miles on it, clear title no accidents I do have a carfax if you would like me to email it to you let me know. First off I'm selling it because I am in the Military and I am changing my duty station and it isn't going to be cost effective at all for me to transport it to the new station, so I need to get rid of it soon. I have a lien on it right now through navy federal. I already found out how this has to be done, which is when it is sold the buyer will come with me to my branch location and the title will be there so as soon as I sign the pay off for my loan the title will be transferred to the new owner, which can all be done in a few minutes at the bank.

The interior is in great condition no stains, rips, or tears. The exterior is in pretty good condition for a black car of its age has normal wear and tear on the front from rocks, but other than that it looks great.
It does have some imperfections, which there are pictures of, A small door ding in the passenger side front door with paint missing, a couple small dents in the trunk lid, the rear bumper has a scrape on the drivers side corner, the drivers side door card has a scratch in it about 7 inches long, and the key FOB does not work because the previous owner washed in it her pants, which means you have to use the key to get in, never bothered me enough to order a new FOB and reprogram it. The trunk has an oil stain in the carpet from a spare oil container leaking

The car has had quite a lot of maintenance done on it recently, as follows;
Timing belt 7k miles ago
Transmission oil changed 700 miles ago
Coolant flush 700 miles ago
Water pump 7k miles ago
Oil changed 700 miles ago and every 3500 miles with motul 300
Clutch 7k miles ago with an ACT stage 2

The car does have some light modifications done to it as well;
Stage 2 Cobb OTS tune
Cobb Accessport
HKS downpipe
Apexi Catback
ISC N1 Coilovers
Camber plates on all four corners
Kartboy endlinks
GTSPEC trailing arms
New bushings in the lateral links
Kartboy shortshifter
V-limited Replica front lip
258% tint on all windows and 40% on the front, which is legal for where I have the car registered but you may have to look into your tint laws
The wheels are the stock BBS Plasti pipped black so if you don't like the plack it peals off and it will be the stock silver.
The tires has about 65% tread left on them and they are the stock tire type 225/45/17
All the suspension mods have been done in the last 1500 miles

The car still has the stock headunit 6 disc cd changer which was hooked up with a Aux cord into it, the cord allows you to play whatever you want on it but the radio part of it no longer works.
If you have any questions feel free to ask, call  or text my number is 8703506025, I will try and get back to you asap, if you want more pictures or the carfax let me know and i will send them to you.
Thanks,
Kris

Subaru to return to Isle of Man with 2015 WRX STI hoping to set new record [w/videos]

Fri, Apr 18 2014

This is what it looked like when Mark Higgins set the lap record at the 37.75-mile TT Mountain Course on the Isle of Man in 2011 in a Subaru WRX STI. And it will probably look much the same when Higgins returns to the chunk of land in the Irish Sea to with the aim of breaking his record, set at an average speed of 115.36 miles per hour, but he'll do so in a 2015 WRX STI. As in 2011, he'll drive a mostly stock US sedan fitted with a roll cage, race harness, fire suppression system and upgraded springs and dampers. We're sure he'll be hoping to avoid a repeat of "The biggest moment of my life," though. There's a press release below with more information on the coming attempt, including dates, and we've included a video of that "moment" as well as one of the whole record run. Godspeed, Mr. Higgins. SUBARU TO DEBUT NEW 2015 WRX STI AT THE ISLE OF MAN TT COURSE AND ATTEMPT NEW FASTEST LAP Thursday 17th April 2014 -- Subaru of America, Inc. announced today that Subaru will return to the fabled Isle of Man TT Races and attempt to beat its own fastest car lap time. The current record of 115.36mph for the iconic 37 3/4 mile TT Mountain Course was set three years ago by Mark Higgins in a (2011) Subaru WRX STI. Higgins will return to drive the new 2015 Subaru WRX STI. The car Higgins will drive is a stock U.S.-spec 2015 WRX STI, with the exception of a roll-cage, race harness, fire suppression system and modified springs and dampers to handle the sustained high speeds of the course. Subaru will also return as a partner with the Isle of Man, renewing its sponsorship of the race. "We are very excited to return for another attempt of the TT course and to be the official car of the TT," said Dominick Infante, National Manager of Product Communications, Subaru of America, Inc. "The Isle of Man is paradise for anyone who appreciates motorsport and there is nothing like the TT road course anywhere else." In his previous attempt on the course, Higgins created one of the most memorable race videos when he had a self-described "moment" at the bottom of Bray Hill at 150 MPH. The video has received almost 10 million views via various media outlets.

Drive-up bank robbery perpetrated with Cayenne and WRX

Sat, 14 Sep 2013

Thieves carried out what appears to be a movie-script-perfect robbery of a bank in Sydney, Australia early on Friday morning, using two stolen high-performance vehicles in the process.
At around 11:15 AM local time, in near mid-day light, reports say that two men in masks smashed into the side of a Westpac bank in a confirmed-stolen black Porsche Cayenne. The perpetrators were armed with sledgehammers according to witness reports, and took only about five minutes to take what they were after inside of the bank.
The rapid getaway was executed in a Subaru WRX, also confirmed as a stolen vehicle, while witnesses snapped camera phone images of the illicit goings on. One Twitter user posted a few of the images to his social media feed; you can take a look at them in our small gallery below. Follow on down for the full video report, from The Sydney Morning Herald.

Subaru recalls 200k vehicles in snowy states to reapply anti-corrosion wax

Thu, Jan 8 2015

This past summer, Subaru issued a recall for some 660,000 of its vehicles over a problem stemming from salt from the road corroding brake lines. It was the second such recall the company had issued, and now it's issuing another. Under this latest recall, Subaru is bringing in 198,900 vehicles that were already covered under the previous recall to fix the same issue. This time around, the notice is issued for the 2008-11 Impreza, 2008-14 WRX and STI, and the 2009-13 Forester – specifically those registered (currently or formerly) in 20 states that use salt on their roads: Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia and Wisconsin, plus the District of Columbia. The remedy is the same as last time, coming down to applying a special anti-corrosion wax to prevent corrosion, but needs to be carried out again due to "incomplete repair instructions provided to dealers" last time around, according to the statement below from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. RECALL Subject : Brake Line Corrosion at Four-Way Connector Report Receipt Date: DEC 31, 2014 NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V830000 Component(s): SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC Potential Number of Units Affected: 198,900 Manufacturer: Subaru of America, Inc. SUMMARY: Subaru of America, Inc. (Subaru) is recalling certain model year 2008-2011 Impreza, 2008-2014 WRX and STI, and 2009-2013 Forester vehicles, currently, or formerly, registered in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia that were remedied under recall 14V-311 prior to December 23, 2014. The brake lines may experience brake line corrosion due to salt water splashing on the brake lines through a gap in the fuel tank protector. CONSEQUENCE: Brake fluid may leak due to the brake line corrosion and may result in longer distances being required to slow or stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. REMEDY: Subaru will notify owners, and dealers will apply an anti-corrosion wax to the four-way joint connector area of the brake line system, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on January 26, 2015. Owners may contact Subaru customer service at 1-800-782-2783.
