2005 Subaru Impreza Wrx Sti - Low Miles - Stock on 2040-cars
Englewood, Colorado, United States
I recently sold my daily driver and it would kill me to put miles on this car and depreciate it's value. There is nothing wrong the car or any underlying reason why I am selling it. It's just time to see it go to a good home.
The car has been in the family since new and has been well taken care of. I believe there is a minor accident on the car fax in it's early years that was simply a ding in one of the fenders that happened in a parking lot. Car previously had a front mount intercooler, cat back exhaust and cobb accessport to maximize cars efficiency but these parts have been removed for the sale and are no longer available. Car is completely stock except for a few modifications listed below. Pictures show a few scrapes here and there, one curb mark on one of the wheels. Overall the car is in very good condition and turns heads constantly but still shows average signs of wear. 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Obsidian Black Pearl 27,5xxx miles Manual 6 Speed Blue Interior In dash 7" DVD/MP3 Player Tein S-Tech Springs 18x8.75 XXR 527 wheels with a 38mm offset Hankook 235/40/18 Ventus V12 Tires Vehicles blue book shows $29,500 retail due to miles. I believe the value to be fair around $23,500 as all of the other similar ones for sale are priced closer to $27,500. I have a family friend that can offer good rates on shipping services if needed. 720.256.1004 if any questions. |

Motor Trend pits Subaru WRX vs. Ford Focus ST
Thu, 23 Jan 2014The Ford Focus ST has enjoyed a relatively calm, if brief, reign in the world of hot hatches. With nothing else in the class (in the States, at least) but the aging Mazdaspeed3 and Subaru Impreza WRX and the slow-selling Volkswagen Golf R, the Blue Oval's 252-horsepower five door has been the go-to vehicle for those that don't need the high-octane lunacy (and expense) of the rally bred Subaru Impreza WRX STI and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X.
Now, though, as the new Subaru WRX (it's not an Impreza anymore, though, neither is it a hatchback...) starts to arrive at dealers, the Focus ST appears to be under threat for the first time. Naturally, Motor Trend is here to figure out which one is the best, with another one of its Head 2 Head videos. Host Jonny Lieberman puts both cars through their paces, going above and beyond, quite literally, at the very end of the video.

Mazda CX-5 named Japan's Car of The Year, Subaru BR-Z wins "Special Award"
Mon, 03 Dec 2012The Mazda CX-5 stamped its Kodo design and SkyActiv technology authority all over the Japan Car of the Year awards, taking the top prize ahead of the Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT 86. It is Mazda's second victory in the last ten years, the 2005 MX-5 claiming the same trophy, and the fourth time the Hiroshima company has won.
The award is decided by 60 local "automotive experts and journalists," and open to any passenger car released in Japan from November 1, 2011 to October 31, 2012 that has sold more than 500 units. Each judge gets 25 votes, his or her top vote getting 10 points, the rest of the points being spread among the judge's choice for the next best four cars.
The second-place getters were the Toyobaru twins with 318 votes, the surprise being they didn't beat or get any closer to the crossover. The Subaru BRZ did claw some mojo back, earning the Special Award given to cars that have made "an exceptional impact." The BMW 3 Series was third overall and won the Import Car of the Year award with plenty of room between it and the second place Range Rover Evoque.
