2005 Subaru Impreza Wrx, Clean!!! Low Miles on 2040-cars
Boerne, Texas, United States
|
Up for sale is my MINT condition 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX. Current milage is 104,952. Clean TX title in hand and ready to go. I really hate to sell this car but I am getting married and have a wedding to pay for and five other cars i could be driving.
Asking price is current blue book value of $10,500 This is a deal if you check out ebay/auto trader/craigslist. This WRX is in excellent shape. Black on Black on Black almost murdered out. The body is clean with no dents or body damage. The Java black paint shines. The interior is all black with new STI floormats, suede shifter boot and carbon fiber MOMO shift knob. There are NO tears, burns, dash cracks, funky smells going on. Looks great!!! Right rear window tint is starting to peel a bit around the edges. The car is mostly stock and unmolested unlike some of the hacked tuner cars you might find on the market. Build it how you want it. It's a clean slate. Modifications include: Carbon fiber trunk lid, 100% real carbon not some crappy colored fiberglass knockoff. A K&N Typhoon cold air intake. An external blowoff valve was installed for that perfect pssshhhh noise between shifts. I replaced the original clutch assembly around 98,000 miles and installed an Exedy stage 1 clutch kit and a 12 pound lightened chromoly flywheel. Boost/vacuum gauge installed in place of the ashtray. Greddy turbo timer for turbo longevity. All coolant/heater/radiator hoses replaced with black silicone hoses. The engine runs very strong, turbo spools quickly and produces 13psi boost all day long with zero smoking, endplay on compressor wheel was checked a few thousand miles ago and it was nice and tight. Always serviced with Mobil 1 full synthetic oil and high quality filters. The transmission shifts smoothly between the gears, suspension is great, brakes are strong, alignment is excellent. Battery is brand new. This car has no known issues that need repairing. The car still has original exhaust, turbo, tune, brakes, suspension. Available to view at my home anytime after 8pm in the evening, or you can come by my work during the day and I can show it as well. The car is located in Boerne TX just 25 miles north of San Antonio. |

2015 Subaru Legacy to start at $21,695*
Fri, 16 May 2014Subaru unveiled the 2015 Legacy at this year's Chicago Auto Show, and while the company was happy to tell us all about its new platform and features, it kept pricing a secret until now. The new all-wheel drive sedan arrives at dealers this summer with a starting price of $22,490, which includes its $795 destination charge, a $400 increase over last year's model with the CVT.
The Legacy takes advantage of a slightly larger, new platform, which Subaru claims is quieter. The 2.5-liter boxer-four-cylinder and 3.6-liter flat-six engines are carried over from the previous generation, but they see slight boosts in fuel economy. All models also now come standard with a CVT, and, of course, Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
The range starts with the basic 2.5i trim at $22,490 that comes standard with more airbags than before and a 6.2-inch infotainment system with Bluetooth and iPod integration. The $24,290 2.5i Premium trim really improves things with standard dual-zone climate control, power driver's seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 7-inch infotainment system and more. For $27,290, the 2.5i Limited adds a leather interior, 18-inch wheels, a Harmon/Kardon stereo, heated rear seats, fog lights, wood grain trim and more. A top-spec Legacy 3.6R Limited goes for $30,390 and comes with standard HID low beams.
2015 Subaru WRX teased ahead of LA debut
Mon, 11 Nov 2013After bringing a seriously hot concept to the New York Auto Show earlier this year, Subaru will finally reveal the production 2015 WRX at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month. And while we've seen spy shots of the hotter Impreza (including the winged STI variant), Subaru has now released this teaser image, showing the bulging, scooped 'Rex that's nearly ready for its world debut.
What we can see is a car that's clearly been toned down from the conceptual version - we aren't surprised, really. But it appears that the added aggressiveness over the standard Impreza will make for a pretty hot-looking little sedan. Of course, WRX models have never exactly been pretty cars, and we don't expect this one to be, either. No matter - assuming this car follows in the footsteps of WRXes past, it should still be plenty good.
Subaru hasn't released any details about the WRX as of this writing, but again, we don't expect it to stray too much from the formula we know. Expect a turbocharged boxer engine underhood, all-wheel drive, and - hopefully - a manual transmission. Rumor has it the WRX and STI will lose their hatchback variants and go sedan-only for the 2015 model year, but we'll have to wait until the official LA debut to know that for certain. Stay tuned.
2013 Subaru WRX Special Edition
Fri, 14 Dec 2012Two months ago, I was carving pumpkins in a canyon - last week, I was carving canyons in a pumpkin. I genuinely prefer the latter.
It's hard to miss the 2013 Subaru WRX Special Edition. The twins (the automaker is offering the package on both the WRX and its higher-performing STI sibling - just 300 copies in total) arrive in Tangerine Orange paint with Jet Black wheels, black exterior mirrors and black front fender badges. The purely cosmetic upgrades are carried inside the cabin with black cloth upholstery contrasted with orange stitching on the seats, doors, shift boot and piping on the floor mats.
After a day, I completely forgot about the controversial orange paint (you either love or hate its burnt pumpkin color) and focused on the simple joy of driving the rally-inspired Subaru WRX.
