2011 Subaru Impreza Wrx Limited Wagon W/ Nav 4-door 2.5l Stage 2 + Many Upgrades on 2040-cars
Brooklyn, New York, United States
|
For sale is my 2011 Black WRX Limited Hatch.
This car has a ton of upgrades, so please read the entire listing. Still under factory warranty until 7/2014 (you can buy the extended warranty anytime from now til the expiration). For starters, it is the top of the line WRX Limited w/Nav trim. That gives you a sunroof, fog lights leather interior, navigation and trip computer. The Subaru dealership in Brooklyn, NY installed a Cobb downpipe and flashed the ECU to Stage 2 giving this car around 310HP vs the factory 265. It is extremely noticeable. If you are a good driver, you can pull 4.3 second 0-60 in this car all day. (I have the Cobb Accessport which will be included in the sale, this gives you the ability to flash back to stock or see 0-60 times, MPG and other data. There is also a SPT Catback exhaust which is loud, but not too loud (street legal in all 50 states). The Subaru dealer installed the upgrades, so he said there should be no problem with warranty claims should they arise. Subaru short shifter was installed as well as the STi 5 Speed leather trimmed shift knob . I also upgraded the shift boot, e-brake boot and center console to genuine leather, matching the interior with same color red stitching. It really changes the look of the interior. I installed Hawk Performance Ceramic Brake pads a few thousand miles ago. Perrin heat blanket which keeps heat localized to the downpipe was installed and works wonders keeping heat out of the engine bay. Valentine 1 radar detector has been hard wired with concealed display and will be included in the sale. For you to buy this would cost around $750 installed. I added in the factory media module which did not come with the car. This gives you iPod/iPhone support which works with factory steering control so you can keep the device charging in the center console and both hands on the wheel! Also I enabled DVD playback while the car is driving (for passenger use only!). Under seat Subaru sub-woofer was installed for that little bit of extra bass. Car has 30% tinted windows all around (except windshield). Factory rubber floor mats and original carpeted mats (never used) included. Also including taillight overlays in case you want your taillights to look red instead of the standard clear. These are precision cut and adhesive backed for easy application. Overall this car is near mint with only a few scratches here and there. A gas attendant once hit the gas door with the pump and caused 2 tiny dents on the fuel door (felt that should be mentioned, but not really noticeable and very easy to replace). The passenger's door trim on the inside is a bit scratched up as you can see in the photo. The wheels have a little bit of curb rash, again, I have photographed this as well. I never tracked the car and did my oil changes every 3500 miles instead of the factory recommended 7500. Only used Premium Synthetic oil. The car drives very fast, but is easy to handle and control due to the 4 wheel drive. If you have a family, but also enjoy driving, this car is perfect. This is the most complete ready to drive and enjoy WRX you'll ever find! |

Subaru Global Platform shows us the bones of future models
Mon, Mar 7 2016Subaru will follow a current industry trend by introducing a modular chassis later this year, and the so-called Subaru Global Platform will underpin all of the Japanese automaker's future models. We'll see it first on the new Impreza, which will go on sale in the second half of 2016. Subaru claims its new platform offers 70-100 percent greater rigidity compared to the company's current models, and the stiffer chassis means less vibration travels through the vehicle to the steering wheel and seats, which results in an easier time for the driver. A 40-percent increase in impact energy absorption should also mean improved safety. Customers might experience a more exciting drive from the future Subarus, too. The company claims the new platform lowers the center gravity by 0.2 inches, which should sharpen handling. The engineers now mount the rear stabilizer directly to the body, which is said to reduce body roll by 50 percent over current models. It also supports hybrid, plug-in, and EV drivetrains to adapt to the future. After the Impreza lets us experience the Subaru Global Platform later this year, the company already has other models with it under development. For example, the XV Concept from Geneva hints at a sharper look for the next-gen compact crossover. The new WRX reportedly joins the range in 2017 and possibly gets an extra boost from hybrid power. A seven-passenger CUV also joins the US lineup in 2018. So much new product on the way could let Subaru keep up its brisk sales pace for years to come. (FHI), the manufacturer of Subaru automobiles, has unveiled an overview of the Subaru Global Platform, which is currently under development as the architecture to be used for all the Company's next-generation vehicles. The Subaru Global Platform is part of the six initiatives to enhance the Subaru brand described in the Company's mid-term management vision, "Prominence 2020," announced in 2014. Together with the horizontally-opposed engines, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (AWD), and EyeSight that represent Subaru's core technologies, the new platform will constitute the basic foundation of the next generation of Subaru vehicles.

2020 Subaru Legacy Review & Buying Guide | It's a sedan! And a good one
Mon, Oct 28 2019The 2020 Subaru Legacy is facing a very steep climb. Though redesigned and massively improved, it's still a sedan in an increasingly SUV world – and a sedan, no less, that has always struggled to attract shoppers away from the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. Even within Subaru's own dealerships, it seems destined to gather dust while buyers gobble up the brand's four popular crossovers. But, who cares about popularity? The new Legacy is extremely good, benefiting from technological advancements and massive engineering upgrades for 2020 – including the welcome return of a turbocharged engine. It's better to drive, more comfortable, and easier to use, while maintaining its sterling safety reputation and standard all-wheel-drive system. Really, the Legacy has never been so appealing and competitive in the midsize sedan segment, even if its timing is a bit lousy. If you're among those happy to avoid the SUV trend, it is absolutely worth going against the grain. What's new for 2020? The Legacy is completely redesigned for 2020 – although it's a bit tough to tell by the styling. It adopts the same platform as other recently redesigned Subarus, most notably, the 2020 Outback that continues to be effectively a lifted Legacy wagon. Or, given their respective popularity, is the Legacy now a lowered Outback sedan? In any event, the two share virtually everything except their ride heights and trunk designs. That includes a substantially stiffer structure that contributes to improved handling, steering precision, ride comfort and safety; a mostly new base engine and the welcome return of a turbocharged four-cylinder as the engine upgrade; new accident avoidance tech; and an improved interior with nicer materials, a more attractive design and a massive 11.6-inch vertically oriented touchscreen in most trim levels. What's the interior and in-car technology like? Like the exterior, the Legacy's interior isn't as eye-pleasing as those of many rivals, but it's also better than before. It boasts better materials, including padded and stitched simulated leather on most surfaces up front that contributes to a far more upmarket look and feel. The top-of-the-line Touring XT trim level, pictured here, gets pretty swanky with its Tan Nappa Leather, and we like that Subaru didn't feel the need to spread fake wood trim about to make it seem more luxurious.
