2006 Subaru Wrx 5-speed on 2040-cars
Palm Desert, California, United States
Silver 2006 Subaru WRX turbo 5-speed with 131K fully maintained and documented miles. All service is up to date and was done at the University Subaru dealership in Columbia, Missouri. Including timing belt / water pump / spark plugs / diff fluid / transmission fluid. I am 38 years old and this has been my daily commuter car :). NO track time and NO abuse. Stock 17" black powder coated wheels and new winter tires are included AS WELL AS the 18" forged Volk racing wheels that are in the pictures. The Volks are absolutely perfect and are in my garage with brand new summer tires. They are included in the sale UNLESS you do not want them, in which case I will take $1000 off the sale price. The tires are worth that alone. The 18" Volks wheels retailed for $3000 without tires. Please message me if you would like to discuss. Short list of mods/improvements: STI intercooler / Subaru SPT intake / Subaru SPT exhaust / Cobb accessport / StopTech front slotted rotors and pads / KYB shocks / Epic engineering springs / Epic engineering rear sway bar NO accidents! However there are a few couple cosmetic things
with the car that are reflected in the price. I have included pictures. The
front clip was damaged when I hit a curb in the snow :\ and there are some
normal scratches and small dings in the body work but NOTHING major. This is normal
wear from a car that has been driven 75 miles a day. The car is not perfect but
could get there easily. I have included a picture of the front clip damage, it does need some TLC but like i said nothing major. Asking price is $10,000 with the VOLK wheels and $9000
without. Contact me through ebay and we can talk about reasonable offers. Title
in hand. $500 deposit through PayPal required at the time of purchase. PLEASE DON’T
BID IF YOU CANNOT PAY OR DO NOT HAVE FINANCING, THE SALE PRICE IS NOT A NEGOTIATION AFTER THE AUCTION IS OVER. I have represented the car exactly the way it is and
I am an honest and fair person. I don’t want to deal with you if you are a low baller. I will not sell the car to you if you’re a dipshit… I don’t need the money. I
purchased a new car and this is sitting in my garage waiting for a good home. THANKS! |

Day 2: We made it to Patagonia | Subarus in South America
Wed, Feb 17 2016We made it. After Monday's layover in Buenos Aires on Tuesday afternoon, Chris McGraw and I landed in El Calafate, Argentina – right smack in the middle of Patagonia. The Andes mountains were to our west, open plains and lakes cut by glaciers to our east. McGraw and I settled inside a Subaru Outback, and with big smiles on our faces, high-fived as I said the words, "Dude... We're in f*cking Patagonia." Our official adventure starts today, where we're driving a number of Subaru crossovers on all sorts of terrain, visiting glaciers that are larger than most American cities, and taking in some of the most scenic landscape I've ever laid eyes on. Crosstreks, Foresters, and Outbacks will get us to our next destination, and we'll have a full recap of the day's activities for you tomorrow morning. Be sure to follow along with us on social media – Autoblog's Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram will provide more insights into our journey. Of course, both Chris and I will be posting individual impressions from the journey, so follow us, too (@stevenewing and @thequikdraw). In the meantime, get an idea of our epic surroundings in the video above.
Subaru nixes plans for US-built XV Crosstrek
Sun, Dec 28 2014Subaru is on a sales tear, with numbers up 21 percent through the end of November compared to last year. It's been investing in its Indiana factory, and having ended its contract to build the Toyota Camry there, the 400,000-unit capacity was once seen as more than Subaru needs. At some point Subaru had plans to build the XV Crosstrek here in the US, but Reuters reports that the company has changed its mind and will build the little crossover Scooby in Japan, in the same Gunma Prefecture factory where the Impreza, BRZ and Levorg are built. The report cites "the relatively high sales price," the weakening yen versus the dollar and capacity constraints at the Indiana facility. For a planned production run of 65,000 Crosstrek units annually, the new math – especially the yen valuation, which has declined against the dollar to a rate not seen since 2007 – makes Japanese production a viable option. Subaru isn't the only manufacturer taking its toys back home, either: the Reuters report says Toyota is considering shifting some Camry production back to Nippon, while Nissan plans to do the same with the Rogue. Our guess is that if Subaru sales continue the trend they've been on for years, the assembly decision will give them more local flexibility here for addressing it. Subaru teasing STI surprise for NYC show?
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Subaru is no stranger to the Special Edition car, least of all where its vaunted WRX and STI are concerned. From Spec C to Prodrive to 22B, more than a handful of STI's around the world have been released as limited-run editions, often with stirring results. So, while we were more than a little bit surprised to see that big-wing crop up on the Subaru Twitter page today, we can't say as though its not true to the brand's history.
However, while most of the interesting WRX STI variants have been offered to Europe and Japan only, whatever is wearing that carbon-fiber-lipped wing is set to debut at the New York Auto Show this week.
We don't have a clue as to the precise nature of the car in front of that wing, save to say that it's likely based on the STI. We can guess, however that the extra vertical supports and the use of carbon fiber indicate a higher-performance version than currently exists. Anything from a racing application to some new goodies for the aftermarket are in the realm of possibility.
