Fully loaded showroom condition 2013 BRZ Limited. If you are looking for a BRZ then you know what this car is all about, getting back to the the fun of driving. Lightweight, balanced, cool looking affordable fun. These are hard to find and you won't find a BRZ like this one. The paint is perfect, not a single ding or dent, interior is showroom. Still smells newTouchscreen navigation, bluetooth phone, heated seats. This car is nearly perfect straight out of the box but there is always room for little improvement.

My goal was to give it a more aggressive appearance, smooth-out the torque dip bit by opening up the exhaust and adding a slightly more aggressive (no drone) exhaust tone, tightening the suspension a bit during hard cornering and finally add a bit more bite on the brakes. Mission accomplished. This BRZ is now perfectly set-up to take on the backroads and still be used as a daily driver.

Upgrades include:

BFGoodrich G-force 225/40Z R18 sport tires. About 85% tread remaining.
Sparco Assetto Gara lightweight 18" wheels, finish: matt graphite silver
Magnaflow catback sport exhaust
Motiv overpipe
Motive downpipe
AIRAID cold-air intake
JPM Coachworks Alcantara interior panel upgrade (speaker trim, knee pad, e-brake cover, gauge cluster cover)
Eibach Sport spring (Dropp approx. 1.5" - 2.0")
STOPTECH Sport brakes, stock rotors.
Stock tires and rims (500 miles on them and in perfect condition)  are included in listing.
Lamin-X smoke film on reverse light and corner lights

Coupled with it's lightweight and nimble handeling the BRZ is one fo the best performance bargains you can find. The BRZ has one of the lowest center of gravity of any car on the market. The Eibach spring upgrade lowers the car marginally and has a near OEM ride. A bit more taught during hard cornering and eliminates the horrible stock wheel gap giving it a much more aggressive appearance. With the exhaust/CAI upgrade there is definitely a seat of the pants difference in performance. Quicker of the line but more linear throughout the RPM range.  The stock exhaust was anemic to say the least. Very restrictive and pathetic looking tips. These mentioned exhaust upgrades adds a bit deeper tone and volume with absolutely no drone or annoying "look at me" volume and a much meaner look. It's the Exhaust that should have come from the factory. The STOPTECH brakes are absolutely amazing! No squeal and very consistent. Right front rim has a 4" curb rash that has been painted and barely noticeable. The JPM Coachworks interior upgrade makes a night and day difference. Thought the factory interior materials are very nice, the hard plastic knee, speaker trim, ebrake and guage cluster cover had to go. This upgrade is mush nicer Alcantara material with matching red stitching. Looks amazing.

Please feel free to contact/email me if you have any questions at all. This is my daily driver so the milage will change marginally, I don't more than 100 miles a week on it. I am selling locally as well so I reserve the right to end this listing at anytime. Thank you for your interest.

Subaru to stop building Camry for Toyota in the US

Fri, 09 May 2014

It was back in 2007 that Subaru of Indiana Automotive, under contract from Subaru minority shareholder Toyota, built the first Toyota Camry at its plant in Lafayette, Indiana. Rumblings of the end of that contract work have been around for a while, as Subaru talked of expanding capacity to build more units and add a line for the Impreza, and Toyota talked of moving Camry production to its Georgetown, KY plant. The news was official internally last November when SIA Executive Vice President Tom Easterday told the Louisville Courier-Journal that Camry production would end. Now, Automotive News reports that both automakers have admitted publicly that the end will come in 2016.
SIA currently has a 170,000-unit capacity devoted to the home-brand Legacy and Outback models, while a $400-million expansion increases that to 300,000 units to prepare the facility for Impreza production in two years. Freeing up the 100,000 units of production devoted to the Camry means a 400,000-unit capability, which is far more than Subaru needs at the moment, but the Toyota exit will allow it to expand any way it sees fit. Subaru has said it will absorb the workers on the Camry line and no jobs will be lost, the mayor of Lafayette saying the development could change the timetable for the expansion.

2020 Subaru Legacy Luggage Test | Who needs an SUV?

Mon, Nov 4 2019

As previewed in our recent 2020 Subaru Legacy review, the redesigned midsize sedan has a very large trunk. Whereas you have to creatively Tetris bags into the back of various pricier SUVs, you can pretty much just carelessly chuck them into the Legacy. How many bags? Well, let's take a look.  As a refresher, I use two midsize roller suitcases that would need to be checked in at the airport (26 inches long, 16 wide, 11 deep), two roll-aboard suitcases that just barely fit in the overhead (24L x 15W x 10D), and one smaller roll-aboard that fits easily (23L x 15W x 10D). I also include my wife's fancy overnight bag just to spruce things up a bit (21L x 12W x 12D).  The numbers say this is a 15.1-cubic-foot trunk. That's quite large, but besides the Mazda6, it's actually small for the segment. It has less than the 16.7-cubic-foot Honda Accord, 15.7-cubic-foot Chevy Malibu and 15.4-cubic-foot Nissan Altima. It's exactly the same as the Toyota Camry. However, such numbers don't tell the whole story as we discovered last week with the Lexus LC. The Camry may be the same on paper, but in practice, the Subaru is better. There, all the luggage fit with ease. Specifically, my four biggest bags were able to easily fit side-by-side in the trunk's aft-most portion between the wheels. That's the case in the Camry, which you can see below (test done during our midsize sedan comparison test). However, look at the difference in space between the bags and the trunk lip. The Subaru has more. Note how I could lay the smaller roller on its belly. No way that's happening in the Camry.  In fact, the Legacy trunk is more similar to the Honda Accord in this respect. The Accord, it seems, is bigger in the area just aft of its wheel wells. However, it also has "egg-crushers," trunk hinges that swing down into the trunk below. They technically free up space, but how useful is that space if what's filling it is going to be crushed? The Legacy puts its hinges in channels.  OK, back to the Legacy. Now let's fill it up using three duffle bags (any more, and I would've had to get creative raiding my garage).  So here you have it, the 15.1-cubic-foot 2020 Subaru Legacy trunk can hold five suitcases, one fancy bag and three duffles.

Daily Driver: Long-Term 2015 Subaru WRX

Tue, Feb 3 2015

In successive weeks the middle west and eastern coast of our country were blanketed in snow. Thankfully for my fellow Michigan-based Autoblog editors and I, our long-term 2015 Subaru WRX was fitted with Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D tires before the first flake even fell. I stole the keys and ran out of the office was loaned the WRX for a week recently, and made good use of a sunny Saturday to take the car out for a proper, winding road drive. In the video you see here, I happened to have great weather and dry roads for the test, but rest assured that it had been snowy and gross up to that point. We're going to have lots more to say about our gold-footed 'Rex before we give it back, but in the meantime believe me when I say that the car is well-sorted for the worst that Winter '15 will throw at it.
