Sheisty Shop!

My car broke down a few months ago and I thought it was the radiator. I had my car towed to this shop and they told me that in fact, I did need a new radiator. I was not knowlegable at all about cars so I took a friend of mine to look at my car. He looked and said they cut a vital piece that connects my radiator to the reservoir tank and because that little tiny piece was sabotaged and cut off, that I would have t... view moreo get a new one. I was so furious so I took my car to Pep Boys and I found out the real problem all along was the thermostat. They thought because I was a woman that clearly knew nothing about cars, and they saw that I was military and unfamilliar about where to take my car they could rip me off. But fortunately they didn`t get any money from me other than the towing fee. I strongly do no recommend anyone take their car to this shop, especially if your like me....navy, a female without much car knowledge, and new to the hampton roads area. My best advice would be to take it to a name brand shop with a well know reputation.
