Where do I begin. I brought my 1963 Thunderbird here because I bout the car from Steve`s father and thought he would do a good job with the repairs I needed done to it. I had a few smaller things done, brakes, and a head gasket replaced. When my transmission started slipping gears, I brought it in to have the transmission rebuilt. after 2 months, I finally got to pick my car up, and to my dissapointment, while my wi... view morefe and kids were in the car...the transmission gave out completely in our mall`s parking garage. this was the same day we picked the car up. when I finally got it back to Steves, he said he could get me a transmission to replace it, off another 61 t-bird. I asked the mechanic that worked on the transmission what`d happened the second time, and he very confidently said the reverse clutch went out. I asked why hadn`t that been replaced in the rebuild, and his respnse was "it looked like it was still fine", when he told me this I figured he would be doing this work for free, since the rebuild was unsuccessful. After 8 months of calling week after week, and going up there week...after week...he finally said the transmission was done. when I got up to steve`s he pulled out a ticket for $400 and expected me to pay for the screwup his crew caused. I was floored by the outright cockiness it took to give me a bill for something that was his shop`s fault. I wouldn`t reccomend Steves auto electric to my worst enemy, much less anyone else. this was approximately two years ago this all happened, and just to update things a little, he somehow found my personal phone number (that`s been changed a few times) and called me to threaten legal action against me for posting the TRUTH online about his shady business. be very wary of any service his shop gives you.
