I hope you don`t have car trouble while driving in East Texas, but if you do, by all means check in with the good folks at Red River Muffler and Brake. My wife and I were on the Hot Rod Power Tour last week, coming home from Memphis in our old 1942 Ford Panel Truck when the collector came lose from the passenger side header. I pulled off the Interstate at the Hooks exit and asked for a hardware store or if possible... view more a muffler shop. I was directed to RR Muffler and Brake. I told the manager what had happened, really just wanting to use his lift, when he said, "Sure, pull it in here." We visited about hot rods, the Power Tour, his 3 years in Afghanistan, and everything but the weather. He crawled underneath, fixed the problem and refused to take any payment for his efforts. Not saying he won`t charge you, it is a for profit business after all, but these people are golden in my books.
