Jay Padgett reviewed in the last week Quality Excellent I was a first-time customer at The Shop and I must say, Mike and his family delivered a truly amazing experince from start to finish! What a pleasure to doing business with them all. I was driving down Main St. in Anderson when my car started shaking, rattling & whining. I had to find someone and quick! I must admit, when I pulled into the parking ... view morelot I felt the same "pit-of-the-stomach" sickness I feel every time I take my car to a mechanic. That feeling was quickly dispelled when I was greeted by Shona (Mike`s wife) with a big smile and a warm welcome. I still had my reservations, but Shona, as if she knew just what I was thinking & feeling, made it all go away with her smile and kind words of understanding. Although, I do recall my trepidations returning as Mike took my car for a test drive. He returned about 3 minutes later and rolled my car into his shop. Again, that sinking feeling began to eat away at my stomach. As Mike and his son, Michael, began inspecting my car, I recall that feeling slowing beginning to fade until it was replaced with a feeling of confidence that "He" had smiled on me yet again. After his inspection, Mike approached me and noticed as I took a big, dry gulp of air. He smile and even laughed because he`d seen that look before. He stuck out his hand and shook miine firmly. "We`ll have you all fixed up and on the road in about 30 minutes, Mr. Padgett. It`s gonna run about 70 bucks," he said. Again, Mike`s perception was keen when he noticed my blank stare. The stare was quickly supplanted with a huge grin and yet another a firm, two-handed handshake. 25 minutes and $70 later, I was on my way out the door with two new brake pads and a few other things that I`d mention if I had any idea what they were or how to spell them. Mike and his family truly made me feel like a part of their family and they serviced my car with the same quality and attention to detail I`m sure they`d afford one of their actual family members. I just can`t say enough about the whole experience. I`ve gone through many a mechanic over the years and I`m finally done with my search - THANK YOU MIKE! My friends & family will be coming here for years to come. Best regards from a very happy customer (for life)!
