This is a good scraping plant....

This is a good scraping plant. They always pay competitively and they run smoothly. I am always in and out quickly. I have been to other scrap yards to drop off scrap metal, they do not compare with USS Achey.

Watch the guys in the "metals"...

Watch the guys in the "metals" building, they have been known to rip off from time to time, on copper/alum -even when you watch the scale. Competitive prices on steel scrap, however you can weigh your loaded vehicle elsewhere before you go in there and be about 200lbs less over their scale...pull on and it shows a weight, and then when they wave you ahead its changed 200 less for no apparent reason. It seem... view mores as if they push a button inside the scale house to lower your weight by two to three hundred after you pull on.
