KAR might need to be more honest

Bought a vintage mustang from KAR. Had detail cleaning work performed in engine compartment. Oddly, the radiator, AC compressor, valve covers and who knows what else were swapped-out for lesser quality parts during their detail work. The photos and description provided on the KAR web site showed and described these parts. Although no explanation of why these parts were taken. The data plate codes were listed in the advertisement incorrectly on the web site. The codes listed were for a car with a deluxe (pony) interior. The actual data plate on the driver?s side door had different codes showing that it was originally a standard interior car with a different color combo. It?s a big deal if you are intent on buying an original authentic pony car. If I would have known this, my offer price would have been different.

KAR was reluctant to ship the car to me, it finally arrive three months after I paid them. They said that Columbus was frozen-in and they just couldn`t ship it safely. A shame, though I didn`t read anything about all of those people frozen-in without supply shipments for three months. The car was barely able to run when I received it; although KAR said they test drove it before delivery. The brakes were completely shot when it was delivered. They must have missed the engine and brake problems during the 100+ point inspection.
