Okay for Routine Maintenance, not for Diagnostics/Repair

I`m out $3,000 after this shop refused to replace camshaft synch/sensor when they ran the diag code and found it bad. Per their advice, I then spent $800 replacing items that weren`t even yet due to be replaced (and 2 months of time back and forth of lost wages). All along, the problem was the camshaft synch/sensor. They initially said they were not going to replace it because the noise it was making was intermit... view moretent.
