Terrible Service. I mean NO SERVICE at all!
I went into Pep Boys on a Saturday night about 7:25pm on 9-25-10 They are open till 8:00pm. I had a tire in my trunk with a bad valve stem. All they had to do was to break the tire bead, install a new valve stem, and air up the tire. That`s all. The service Manager there said ""No"". Then he told me it would take about thirty minutes to complete that itty bitty simple operation.
I work at a tire shop and know 1... view more00% for a fact that it does not take more than FOUR MINUTES to complete! Unfortunately I was not near my work and were closed. So much for driving to San Francisco that night to see some friends.
They have no compassion or loyalty to their customers! They had three guys working too. 3 guys working for 35 minutes each. That is 105 minutes total. You mean to tell me they couldn`t pull one guy off sweeping detail for LESS THAN five minutes to replace a valve stem on a litttle 185/70R14 tire??
To me it shows they just flat out DO NOT care about their customers. Then the Service Manager asks if I would like to set up an appointment for the next day. I would have to make an appointment for about FOURTEEN HOURS later for a four minute job?? When he told me the process of replacing a valve stem on a 185/70R14 tire that is not even mounted on the vehicle would take about 30 minutes I knew that either he is not telling the truth or that he and / or his crew is totally incompetent.
Well.... that is my experience with Pep Boys at 4805 Redwood Dr. in Rohnert Park and my opinion of them.
Good luckto anybody that decides to go there. I absolutely deffinitely WOULD NOT recomend them to anybody EVER!!
