Beware!

I was referred to this outfit by Discount tires because I had an obvious alignment problem. The guy at DT said there may be more problems than that and Networks would do a free inspection. I had a coupon for discounted alignment. When I went back to pick up my car I was told that my tie rods were worn down and needed replacement before they could perform the alignment. The job would total around $500. I told the... view more man, "Thanks. I will get back to you " and drove out. I consulted my neighbor, who is a retired mechanic and does my oil changes. He said, "That sounds fishy because your car only has 64K miles and tie rods wear out slowly. I think they just wanted to sell you something." ( I am a woman.) So I called my old mechanic in Phx (100 miles away) to see if it was safe to drive out of alignment. He said "Fine" and told me later that the tie rods were fine. I only paid for the alignment and the gas. Even though I did not have any work done at this sleaze-ball place, they now have me on their mailing list.
