We took our shift stick vehicle to O`Gorman`s since they supposedly were good. We took it in because the clutch was a little soft. We dropped the vehicle off and left to do what we needed to do. Erica called us later and said the Clutch Slave Cylinder needed to be replaced because it was close to being blown out. They quoted us originally at about $1,073 which included tax and labor. One of the reviews we saw said that O`Gorman`s was willing to come down on price. We called O`Gorman`s back again and told them what the other place had quoted. Erica said they could not match it (ok fine) but would not lower the price at all. Erica said that she already gave us a good deal by only charging us for 7.0 hours of labor instead of 7.2 hours and could give us a coupon which would make the total $1,173. My fianc?© who was talking to Erica at the time said that was higher than what she had originally told me. Erica then said that she never told me a price (which was a lie). When my fianc?© called her out on it she changed her story saying that she did in fact quote me a price but that it didn`t include tax and labor - another lie. She also began to give attitude - a lot of it. Anyway, we told O`Gorman`s that we were taking the vehicle somewhere else. They didn`t want to give us the key at first and were very argumentative when we explained we did not like the way we were treated. They definitely did NOT treat us like we belonged and were NOT friendly and tried to blame us for everything. They tried to convince us to leave the vehicle there since we "probably will not be able to move it". Umm... we drove it here 3 hours ago why would it not move now? Finally she gave the key to the service person to bring the car around. We watched the service man open the hood of the vehicle, do something and surprise the vehicle didn`t start. My fianc?© even tried to start it and then he realized that the clutch was COMPLETELY out. There is no way that should have happened or could have happened in the 3 hours it was SITTING and NOT moving in their lot. Beth, another lady who worked there was trying to argue with me even after we went outside. She kept following us around trying to say that they didn`t do anything to the vehicle and saying "told you that you couldn`t move it" all with a snarky attitude. She would not leave us alone AT ALL. And when my fianc?© and I were talking to each other about how we were going to figure out getting to work (since we work in different cities and both work 2nd shift) with one car and about what our plan was for getting this car to the other shop, she kept interrupting us very rudely. Erica and Beth talked down to my fianc?© and I as if we were stupid. I would NOT recommend this place. After this situation I have talked to others who have said that they make crap up that is supposedly wrong with vehicles and charge more than they should just so they can get more money. There is even a review on their site from August 2011 about how they tried to charge someone more than they should have and said something was wrong with a vehicle that wasn`t. It also seems like the reviews (the good ones) were written by employees - especially since most of them are all the same concept and almost same wording. They obviously do not care about their customers.

We have always appreciated the service at O`Gorman`s. Each time that we bring our vehicles there, we are treated fairly and they complete the work promptly. The most recent time that we went there, Mary suggested that we try doing a couple things differently to see if the issue we were having would go away, rather than charge us to look at our vehicle. Ogorman`s cares about what is best for the customer.

I have been taking my car to O`Gorman`s since 1997 and I have always loved the service. They are efficient and my car is always done right. They remember me, call me by name, and are trustworthy. They will be my mechanic for as long as I am in Milwaukee.

We have been coming here for almost two years and have been very pleased with the service and the knowledgeable staff. Everything is explained in language we can understand, and we have never been pressured to make an unnecessary repair. It is great to have a mechanic`s shop that is run with integrity.

We recently bought a used car, and had it checked out at O`Gorman`s before we made an offer. They found so... view moreme things wrong with it, which we were able to have the dealer fix. O`Gorman`s also gave us advice on negotiating with the dealer, the value of our trade-in, and the value of the car we were purchasing. All of this gave us confidence and helped us negotiate a fair price.

I was awed by the act of kindness shown to me by a mechanic at O`Gorman`s almost 20 years ago!!!!----
It is such a great story I had to share it her.

I happened to get a flat tire right on North Ave. later on a Friday evening.
Not having AAA (lesson learned) I began walking home as I also didn`t have a cellphone at that time.

A mechanic from O`Gorman`s came upon this scene and stopped to offer me ... view morehelp. THIS WAS AFTER business hours on a Friday!!!!! Nonetheless, this superhero put on the spare, drove my car to O`Gorman`s, repaired my tire and said then told me there WAS NO CHARGE!!!!!!!!! to This kind man did this out of the kindness of his heart and for no other reason. I have never forgotten this act.

I have found the service here to have the same genuinity

I have been getting my cars worked on here since my wife and I moved to Milwaukee a few years ago. They have always taken the time to explain things in a way I can understand. They are willing to help me anyway they can. I truly appreciate working with this father/son business. It shows me how the family is really important to them and their business. They simply show that they care.

O`Gormans has been a pleasure to work with over the years. They take the time to explain my car repairs to me and treat me like family. I especially love getting the montly newsletters in the mail and the Holiday card in the mail each December. My car repair work is always done accurately, and in a timely manner.
