RIP OFF

He may know what he`s doing, but his prices are higher than going directly to a dealer AND he will RIP YOU OFF! Tran, the owner and sole mechanic, came highly recommended to my mom. She had used him for years. He told me that my brakes were so worn he didn`t want me driving off his property without getting them fixed costing me $950 without tax. IN addition he gave me a laundry list of 12 items that I NEEDED to ... view moreget fixed on my car. The total work would cost me thousands; more than the car was worth. He also informed me I had severe rust and would have increasing problems in the near future.
The only viable financial option available was to fix my car. At a friends suggestion I called PRICE BROTHERS GARAGE just to see how much new brakes would cost somewhere else. Their prices were not only LESS THAN HALF of what Tran was charging me, when I eventually ended up taking my car to have them look at it they told me I had over 50% left on both my front and back brakes and did not need to get new bakes. Where as Tran said I needed to fix 12+ problems with my car, Price Brothers found 3.
I am young woman who knows nothing about cars and pretty much good bait for a rip off, and where Tran jumped at the chance to take ALL MY MONEY The Price Brothers were honest. They even explained what had broken, how they thought it had been broken, saved the parts to show me what was wrong, explained it all for me AND gave me a free oil change. NO JOKE. What was about to cost me $3000 + ended up costing $525. DO NOT GO TO TRAN UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY SIGNIFICANTLY MORE OR YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. HE WILL RIP YOU OFF!
