shotty work/ inexperienced techs/ mysterious water in your transmission voids warranty

Cottman transmission on Holland rd in Va Bch told me my Ford Windstar would not shift due to water in the transmission but they couldn`t determine where the water was coming from. The manager Manny said that they ran tests and found no internal source for the water and they recommended i contact my insurance company and file a claim for water.To my surprise the insurance company sent out a rep, and paid the claim for... view more over $2000.00 By the way, insurance rep told me over the phone that he regularly did business with this shop. I found that to be a bit suspicious but since i wasn`t paying for the repairs from my own pocket i didn`t sweat it.They were paid over $2000.00 for their labor and a few parts, gave me a 1 year warranty and sent me on my way. 8 Months later i`m back because car won`t go in reverse, no sweat still under warranty i thought. I gave them the car and they gave it back over a week later telling me they can`t do anything about it because there is about a gallon of water in the transmission and that makes the warranty void. The same water that they told me wasn`t coming from an internal source when they were paid over $2000.00 to fix the problem 8 months ago. They owner Frank said they won`t do anything to resolve this and told me to take my car somewhere else. I called corporate and talked to someone named Carol, no help there. I filed a complaint with better business bureau , and federal trade commision and i found out that i was on my own.Now i will have to pay thousands of my dollars to another shop to do what this shop was paid to do but didn`t. I will take them to court before this is all over. You should avoid this shop and this company by all means. Find another company to give your money and your trust to, they don`t deserve it
