Went to the Service department received a diagnostic on my 2002 Ford Ranger after having several issues with the engine light and engine misfiring. Ford Service department told me it was the Ignition coil pack. I paid the $105 diagnostic fee. I got an estimate from them and another mechanic and the other mechanic was significantly cheaper. Took it to the other mechanic and had the Ignition coil pack replaced with an ... view moreoriginal new Ford Motocraft part. The issue was NOT fixed after replacing coil pack. I then went back to Ford Service to get it re-diagnosed where they told me I would have to pay another diagnostic fee because they didn`t do the repaid. Even though, their original diagnosis was wrong. I`m a college student and can`t afford to throw money around. I assumed Ford service department would be able to tell me what was wrong with my Ford Ranger, apparently not.
