I came to benny boyd to buy a truck for my husband with financing already in place. Our sales man Michael kept mentioning how our lender was "subpar" and would probably back peddle out of our deal. We drove off with our truck only to get a call in the morning stating that he was going to need $2, 000.00 (in addition to the 500.00 down the lender required when the loan was underwritten.) When I called the... view more finance co, they advised me that this fee was a dealer fee and had nothing to do with us, our deal, or our loan amount and that what Michael was doing was illegal. Still if I wanted the truck I hsd to pay. Michael told me that he wasn`t willing to pay 2000.00 for me to have a truck. They prey on ppl with bad credit. Buyer beware! Really investigate the value of the car, the ltv (loan to value) there is outrageous. I took my subpar loan to carmax got a much better and newer truck for exactly what my lender structured the deal for $500 down. Walked out feeling great in just under 1 hr....with a warranty.
