Ok, I got a quote over the phone for tires and a lifetime alignment for the `Vette. Great price and I have been going her for 8 years, so I get there and 1 - They tell me they made a mistake and won`t do lifetime alignments on Corvettes. 2 - They tell me they want $69 to remove my locking logs (lost key) and replace them. So I tell them OK just an alignment and ask if I get my own lug nuts if they will wave the $6... view more9? Yes. So I still get the tires. I get home and the phone rings. Oops you have toms so it`s another $50. Well, they got the car and I grumble but tell them to go ahead. So now the deal is no better than Discount tire. When I come in 2 hours later to get the car, oops, the alignment machine broke, and the lugs I got at Manny, Moe and Jack are the wrong ones. So I drive off with 4 lugs on each wheel and no alignment. When I get home I check the bill a little closer and there`s the $69 for the removal of the lockers and no replacements. I go back on Saturday and complain about the $69 and they remove it and let me know the alignment machine is up and their resident corvette alignment guy is there. So they do the alignment while we eat breakfast and we`re done. Overall a little inconvenient, and it cost $5 more than at Discount Tire but it all worked out. Will I go back? Probably, but I`ll certainly give the guys at Discount more tire business in the future. Firestone does it all for repairs, but the tire end is getting to be more of a hassle.
