We purchased a transmission from Benny?ˆ™s Motors on 5/24/2013 for one of our company trucks which came with a one year warranty. The mechanic, Manuel, who has many years?ˆ™ experience in installing transmissions, installed this transmission from Benny?ˆ™s Motors and put in fourteen quarts of transmission fluid which was a requirement of Benny?ˆ™s Motors. Benny?ˆ™s Motors also requires inspection of the installation of the t... view moreransmission and the fluid which we tried to do afterwards. Benny did not inspect the transmission or the transmission fluid; he drove the truck and said that everything was fine except the TPS sensor, which once it was replaced the truck would be fine. Our rep asked Benny why he didn?ˆ™t check the transmission or the fluid, which was requested of him to do, to which Benny said it was not necessary because the truck was running fine. We did replace the TPS sensor and everything was not fine with the truck?ˆ™s transmission. We called Benny and told him about how the transmission wasn?ˆ™t working right. Rather than drive the truck, AAA towing, towed the truck to Benny?ˆ™s location. After it arrived at his location, it took him several days before he called us to tell us that he removed the transmission fluid pan and drained four quarts of transmission fluid claiming that that was all the fluid that was in there. However, we know that if you open the pan you can only get 4 quarts out of there, the rest of it is in the Torth converter which any expert on transmission knows that. By Benny making a statement like that, it told us that this guy was not telling the truth and tried to blame the mechanic and also tried to avoid replacing the faulty transmission which was under warranty for one year. After making several calls and demanding that he replace the faulty transmission which he guaranteed for one year, he refused to do so and hung up on us. We believe this act by Benny?ˆ™s Motors is fraudulent and deceptive. We feel they are responsible for the cost of installation of a faulty transmission and the loss of 14 quarts of transmission fluid and others such as the cost of towing and the many trips we have made to his place. His promise was that if there was anything wrong with the transmission he would replace it and cover the cost of installation, but he did not. Now not only are we still out our truck which we need for the company but we also have to replace the transmission again and pay for installation and fluid which is a tremendous damage to us. Per my conversation with him on the phone, he refused to cover the warranty and asked me to remove the truck from his premises immediately, which we did.

let me start off by saying that benny is very charming and nice and that was part of my appeal, however i had to take my car back twice for practically the same thing and at my expense! i really do not appreciate having to pay someone to learn on my dime and my car i put about a thousnd dollars into my car at benny`s and got back a BIG ,GIANT mess. what he supposedly fixed he bandaged and not only that, he cut corner... view mores and was not up front with me, the way he "FIXED" my car was a scam. about a week after taking my car to him for over heating and water loss twice, it happened again! so i left my car parked for a month waiting to see what i was going to do. i found out that my neighbor who restores cars and is very educated would look at my car GRATIS i might add, showed me exactly what was wrong and how he robbed me and needless to say i am very upset MAYBE benny may seem very nice but nice people dont rip you off!!!! the only thanks i give to benny is i had to research and found my neighbor.

First let me say, I live in Austin, and take my car all the way to San Antonio to have it serviced at Benny`s. I found him through reviews and a random recommendation from a stranger, and am I glad! This guy knows his stuff. He has saved me money and headaches regularly. My car is always ready when he says it will be, I`m never hit with bills I didn`t expect, and he never recommends anything other that what`s nec... view moreessary. He prioritizes things so I know what to take care of first. And, he has gone so far as to close up his shop briefly to give me a ride or pick me up. I even got the 100 mile towing on my AAA membership so I`d know I could get to him if necessary! How about that?? Go to Benny - you won`t be sorry!

One thing that is hard to find these days, is an honest car mechanic. Search no more! Benny`s Automotive is not a `rip off shop,` in fact, Benny himself said he would rather have a customer keep coming back for the excellent service and great prices, than to overcharge one time and lose that customer forever! I`m so glad I found this auto repair shop. I had just about given up on finding someone I could trust with my car repairs. I have been ripped off so many times by different mechanics, the big guys as well as the hole in the wall shops. But my experience here was really different. I was treated really great and the owner mechanic listened to me and showed me exactly what was wrong with my car. I have been going to Benny`s eversince since and I recommend this shop to everyone. The shop is really cool !

The first thing I noticed is that the shop was very clean and that they really care about me as a customer. I never felt like they were trying to sell me something my car didn`t need. I had taken my car to the dealer and several other shops. But they either didn`t fix my car`s problem or they came up with this outragous price. I finally found a mechanic I can trust. They are awesome ! I highly recommend them.
