Cornett Re: Vehicle purchase transaction Dear Mr. Young, I am writing this letter to you as I feel you need to be made aware of how I was treated by your sales/finance team at Family Chevrolet in Laredo, Texas. On Augus... view moret 2nd, 2011, I went to Family Chevrolet in pursuit of purchasing a vehicle. I first decided to purchase a used 2011 pick up. After a few days, I went back and decided to purchase a 2007 Tahoe. I was referred to the finance man, Armando Garza, who worked up the paperwork and I signed the note. After a few weeks went by, I called to check on my plates to see if they were in. I was referred to Armando again.. He told me that they needed another note signed?ˆ¦the rate on the note was incorrect. So, I went back to the office and against my best judgment, I resigned a note?ˆ¦..they had supposedly put the interest rate for the Pick Up on the Tahoe note -whatever. I was very angry at this point as you can imagine. I had traded in my Honda and if I could have I would have cancelled the entire contract . So, again,the wait for my plates?ˆ¦time goes by,,still no plates?ˆ¦I go to Armando and he assures me they are being processed. He prepared a temporary plate again for my vehicle. Now it is around the end of September?ˆ¦?ˆ¦and yes, you guessed it Armando calls again?ˆ¦they need ANOTHER NOTE signed?ˆ¦.Now he is offering to lower the price of the vehicle I purchased, give me a check for $700+ dollars?ˆ¦?ˆ¦hush money as I refer to it?ˆ¦?ˆ¦..if I would come sign a new note?ˆ¦?ˆ¦. I really shouldn?ˆ™t have signed the note but I did. I was just sick of the entire fiasco. I just wanted it to be over with. Every time Armando or Joe Garcia would say everything was set, just come on in?ˆ¦they would have another story to tell me?ˆ¦like I told them they had to prepare the note so the payment wouldn?ˆ™t be different, and they agreed, but when I went in that was not what they had prepared?ˆ¦always something different..just to get me in to sign . I do not know if you are aware of the ordeal I have gone through but now you do. I purchased the Honda {which I traded in for the Tahoe] from Family Chevrolet and that was the reason I went back to purchase another vehicle?ˆ¦.HOWEVER?ˆ¦..I WILL SHARE THIS INFORMATION WITH THE WORLD?ˆ¦AND THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. The manner in which I was treated was unacceptable. I could never imagine in my lifetime that a car dealer would be SO incompetent?ˆ¦?ˆ¦surprise surprise Today is OCTOBER 18, 2011 AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY PLATES FOR MY VEHICLE?ˆ¦?ˆ¦?ˆ¦ After signing THREE notes, you would think they would WALK the title work and license registration down to the DMV at least to get that done properly?ˆ¦again?ˆ¦.wrong. I don?ˆ™t know what else to say?ˆ¦but I may call the TV station here in Laredo and let them know about Family Chevrolet?ˆ™s disgraceful service.
