Great service!
I needed to get a radiator leak looked at and repaired.
I first took my car to the Goodyear Service shop in San Marcos where I have had good service from in the past. They said could not get parts for my model car and recommended I take it to Luke Wester Automotive.
I have never used them before. I went and dropped of my car, they kindly offered to give me a ride back home. I thought that was nice, I ... view moredidn`t even have to ask.
They called me about 2 hours later with a diagnosis and estimate for repair. They gave me an estimated time of repair 4 hours but would depend as to when they could get the parts needed, so they estimated it would not be ready until the next day.
They called me later that same day saying they got the part earlier than anticipated and finished the repair the same day. The final bill was actually less than was quoted. Ok, that never happens.
Finally, when I went to get the car and pay, their printer was out and could not give me my itemized receipt, but they said they would email me the quote as soon as they could.
They actually sent someone to my house later to hand deliver the receipt.
This was, by far, one of the best, if not the best experiences I`ve ever had with a car repair shop. They have a new customer.

He is crooked, a racist, a sexist and a druggie. Took my car in and they had all kinds of things they wanted to fix for about $2,500. I was getting a second opinion on work that another had quoted $750 for.
While in the shop I overheard Mr. Wester talking about Pres. Obama calling him a ni**er. Also overheard very demeaning sexist comments, comments of a questionable religious manner and definitely smelled th... view moree odor of marijuana.
I would stay far, far away from this place.

Will tear up your car during repairs....
I went to Luke Wester Automotive to have a window fixed. Picked up my car to find out the steering colum had been broken. Let them know asap and he informed me they did not work on the steering wheel. Some one drove the car in and out of the work bays. Your employees had access to the steering...and I have no doubt this was an accident.... he was rude. And to think I had taken my car there 3 times for services. had ... view moreasked about repairs on several things... nothing urgent...but he thinks I would drive around with no blinkers and never ask about fixing it. Didnt happen you are crooks....Oh and lets not forget how I was told several times what great condition my car was in...Making my signs to picket this crooked establishment....YOU HAVE AN EMPLOYEE THAT TORE UP MY STEERING COLUMN THEY BROKE THE CLIP OFF...THEY DONT FALL OFF..

Rip off
They will rip you off. I went in to have an oil change ed and somehow severalissue needed to be fixed. Go figure how things just happened to fall off and go bad while sitting in this shop.
I didn`t allow them to fix all the things they claimed needed to be fixed. Let them change my oil and then went to another shop where I was told nothing was wrong with any of the supposed problems.

I will also second the marijuana smell. Everything about this place seem to scream rip off city. I guess drug habits are expensive and lead a person to not care if they are ripping people off and cheating them out of money. Avoid and go to a reputable shop.

San Marcos WORST
hillslug is completely spot on with Luke Wester`s work ethics. They are simply Liars and cheats. The only thing they care about is ripping any one with money off... I have seen them do it time and time again for no reason at all except for pure and simple greed, money for nothing. Absolutely no concience for any one but themselves. Not even to mention tne fact that every time I talk to Luke himself, he smells terribl... view morey of marijuana and has glassy red eyes. Does he not realize we can tell? This is a terrible business to have here in this college town. A terrible influence on anyone, unless you like dope and giving your hard earned money to a dope smoker to mess up your car. Just so you can bring it back and get ripped off again.

Do NOT use Luke Wester!!!
It seems like every time I go there something else goes wrong shortly afterward.
But this time, I had just replaced the starter three weeks ago. All I went in for was a broken bolt that holds the starter in place. $188.00 later, they had replaced the starter solenoid and were wanting to do a lot more work. Now, I realize it`s Christmas and they want to buy things for their family but they took presents away from ... view moremy kids with their greed.
They said that the bolt on the solenoid was stripped and they had to replace it. I know that the bolt wasn`t stripped when I took it in. I had just replaced that starter myself. And I had just looked at it 30 minutes before I took it in because I had to hold the starter in to get it started because of a broken bolt holding the starter in. They said they had to replace the starter solenoid because of a stripped post. The stripped part is nice and SHINY while the rest is weathered. THEY CHARGED ME TO REPLACE A PART THAT THEY SCREWED UP!!! And charged me the labor to do it too.
When I first went in they said that if they had to drill the bolt out and re thread it that it would take about an hour of labor and be $65. But when they finished it was suddenly 2 hours of labor plus parts. And it was parts that they screwed up.
