Said I needed to replace a part my car doesnt even HAVE!!

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! They have no clue what they are doing and do NOT know how to fix problems! I brought in my car since the engine was making a slight squeaking noise and after looking at it, they said both my tensioner and pulley need to be replaced... at the cost of $1,070.00!! After taking it to another mechanic for a second opinion, he informed me that my make and model of my doesn`t even have... view more a belt tensioner and is easily fixed by tightening a bolt! Midas MADE UP a part on my car that doesn`t exist then tried to charge me for it... they should be ashamed of themselves...

UNHAPPY FEMALE

I went into Midas on Monfort yesterday in desparate need of help, I told the guy I did not have a lot of money. What did he do? Tried to charge me $1,200 for a Catalytic Conv. Ready to dump the car as not worth fixing I called Goodyear who put me in contact with B&B Muffler who quoted me $395. I ended up letting Midas put on a flex pipe which they charged me twice what B&B would have. Neeless to say Midas will ... view morenever get my business again. Poor customer service

The first and last person I dealt with at this location was the manager. When I told him what was wrong with my car he proceeded to give me a lecture on how to take care of my car - which would have been fine had there been a major problem with it. I had them give me a quote and they gave me a ridiculous amount for the work that needed to be done. When I said I wanted to take my car somewhere else for a second opinio... view moren, the manager got angry and was very rude. I took my car down the street to Firestone, they were courteous and friendly and have me a quote for HALF of what Midas did for the same amount of work.
Don`t take your car here if you want quality for your money - the customer service is the worst I`ve ever experienced - from the manager no less!!
Avoid this location at all costs, it`ll be worth the extra drive. Trust me!
