took my Z06 corvette to put a short throw shifter on it and to do a tune up, since ive gotten it back it runs like brand new and they did it all for a very good price. The owner Ron Gutierrez was honest, respectful and very informative. Thank you Gene brown transmission!!!!

I took my F150 in for a transmission shudder, the tech diagnosed the problem as a engine misfire and told me all I needed was a tune up, I let gene brown repair my truck and it is like new, no more shudder and I am even getting better gas mileage, Thank you Ron and the gene brown crew.

Do not be fooled by the fake reviews in here. This shop is run by a crook and a bully. 1. You WILL receive work to your car without any clear invoice. Expect to pay 3 times the original cost. 2. Know your rights as a consumer. You do not have to accept work from Ron without written consent. He has lawyers in his pocket. It`s usually a bad sign when your car mechanic shares office space with a Lawyer. 3. Th... view moreere is no documentation on parts being put in your car. You don`t know where they are from, if they are new, or salvage. He will charge you new price, and there is no clear labor charge. You are entitled to know (where each part is from, if there is a warrantee on the part, the actual cost of the part, and what condition it was in when installed) Do not authorize any work and get your car out of his shop ASAP! That is the only warning I can give you. Don`t be fooled by a flat price, as long as Ron has your car in his shop he has power over you. Get it out of there, take it to a reputable mechanic. If you have already been a victim have the new mechanic document the damage done by Ron and you may file suite for damages up to 3 times the charges imposed.

We went to the on Grissom rd. long story short we wanted the transmission fixed and the quote was double anywhere else and who answered there argued that they just need to get pad because everyone needs to get paid and that`s just for the diagnostic testing. When we would call the place over the weeks time we would call atleast 4 times in the morning and no answer.When we arrived to pick up the unfixed truck it was sitting near the busy road, windows down with keys in it. The passenger window was broken, coolant light was on, the side of the truck covered in fresh cement, and carpets stained in grease. I would never recommend this company to anyone we didnt know since we were just relocated here due to the military recently.

Ron and his team provided exceptional customer service with honesty and integrity including great mechanic work. I was quite surprised how genuine Ron was. He and his team were very thorough and kept me informed every step of the way. There were no surprise costs. An honest mechanic does not come around to often; I highly recommend this shop.

I have taken several of my automobiles to Ron at the Gene Brown on Grissom Rd. Since I personally rebuilt my car, I am very meticulous about who I take it to, and what is done to the car. Ron and his staff not only took pride in their work, but they took great care of my 1968 Chevelle and treated it like it was their own.

Last week I took my car to Gene Brown on Grissom. I was having problems with my transmission and also my suspension. I thought this was just a transmission place, but they actually service all car issues! I was so happy with the service. As soon as I pulled in, someone came out to see what I needed. I even got to meet the owner when I picked up my car. He knew about my car and the problems I`d had (even though I`d never met him before). I was impressed that he cared so much about his customers. I don`t always need auto repairs, but when I do, I prefer Gene Brown. (yeah, that was cheesy, but this place really is great.)
