I drove my car to this shop. I came down 1604 driving sixty five or seventy miles per hour. My car would not go into overdrive. I went here because it was close to my job. They took the car for a drive and back. I should have stopped them there. Next they drove the car in the shop and drop the pan drained the fluid and did a inspection so they say. They thin came back and said the tr... view moreansmission would need to be disassembled to determine the problem. That would be sevent hundred dollars. that would not include the repair. I thought this was to high and it appeared to be running fine with the exception of the overdrive. I said no let me look into this a little further. I drove the car out of the shop it shifted one time and tthat was it. The transmission would not shift at all and just kept slipping. I had to call Trple AAA to get the car home.

I was told they would have to do an inspection and test drive to see what it was and there was no way they could tell... view more me anything with out that (100 correct) Upon inspection, it turned out that my car decided to be DIFFERENT than every other 626 and it had different problems than most! I was quoted a price and gave them the green light and it was ready two days later! They fixed the problem it had as well and updated the faulty issues associated with that model. one of the cool things about this shop is the ""test"" perios in which you put a couple hundred miles on it and bring it back for them to check again, and then you activate a FREE 12 month warranty! Not a bad idea! Referals generate good things for you as well, I just havent had the chance to send anyone there yet to cash in for myself yet! Thanks Aplus, my car is STILL rolling and shifting smooth as butter almost 8-10 months later! (I procrastinated posting this AND I wanted to give her a good testing in my car b4 I left a review) Face it people, transmissions are NOT cheap, no matter who does it, better to deal with someone who will at least INSPECT it to tell you a price (and then they will NOT charge you a penny more than the quote) than a place that just spits out numbers without seeing your car! On monday our 2002 chrysler 300 was running excellent but the check engine light was on. I left it with this shop. I was called later Monday afternoon saying diagnostics showed two codes and would require a tear down at $289.00 I said O.K (the first wrong decision). The Manager Beryl Burke asked me for my birth date. I thought this strange but gave it. On Tuesday I was called and told the transmission would need a to... view moretal rebuild at $2662.00. Remember this car was shifting excellent when we drove in and running perfect, just the check engine light on. I said no, as the car was not worth a lot more than that and I would salvage it at $750.00. They called me back and offered to do the same work with a 6 month 6000 mile warranty at $1975.00. I said yes (the second wrong decision). They then asked me for my Mother`s Maiden Name. In a hurry I gave it to them and hung up. Then it hit me, they are phishing my ID information. I called back immediately and said why are you phishing my personal information as I am not asking for credit. They aid for security but this is BS. They are phishing customers ID information. On Friday I was called my car was ready. I paid the $1975.00. My wife goes to the car and the battery is flat out a dead. A new battery from Sam`s Club only a little over a year old and we have never had a problem. The mechanic said batteries seem to go dead in their shop. They had to start the car with a batter charger. Also the car would no longer idle and vibrated at 4000 RPM in neutral. I was afraid we would not get home. Again, the car was running excellent when we took it in. But you know what? I was so infuriated wth this place I did not even go back. I have no doubt any further attempt would have been in vain. I went straight to the dealership about 5 miles away, traded the car for basically the tranmission repair and bought a new car. I would never set foot in this establisment again. I also reported the attempted phishing for personal ID information to the Credit Bureau, BBB and FTC. Hopefully they will stop them from trying to steal a senior citizens ID information in the future.

My Dodge van started to drive erratically and I thought it was the transmission going out on me again. I had the transmission rebuilt at another name-brand shop in San Antonio about eight months ago, but I was 700 miles over the warranty and they would not help me. They were very fast and seemed expert at what they were doing. They were also very friendly and the manager treated me great. I would totally recommend them to all my friends and family. Great Job!

The manager Ken Smith was so helpful. He even towed me in from the dealer and settled my bill there without any extra charge to me. He also worked with me in settling my bill with him. His workers were fast and efficient, and they rebuilt my transmission replacing only the necessary parts with new ones. I was referred to A Plus Transmission as a AAA member. My Honda Odyssey van was beginning to drive erratically, and when I called the AAA help line, they gave me the number to A Plus. The Manager had my vehicle towed there, had a complete diagnosis and had me in a rental car, all before lunch on the day I called them! I had received a coupon in the mail for a transmission fluid change. I was initially a bit skeptical at the price that I was seeing on this. I had in the past had this sort of stuff done, but it was always a bit expensive. I have a 2005 Honda Accord, which had cost me over $100 to have the fluid changed about a year and a half ago. When they told me it was going to be only $9.95, I thought something was wrong... view more. For that price, they road tested my car, did a thorough computer scan, removed the transmission drain pan, replaced the gasket for it and then put all the fluid back in it. My experience at A Plus was a good one all the way around. While having car trouble was not a good thing, the experience was made that much better in how we were treated. Mr. Smith, the Manager, was polite and knowledgeable and kept us informed at every step. We had shopped around quite a bit and were totally satisfied with what we discovered.
