Just read your review & I`m not sure if you`re actually a disgruntled employee at G&M Garage or what, but we`ve taken our personal & company vehicles to George for 20+ years and have NEVER experienced any problems like what you`re referring to. George has always been up front & honest with us & has always stood behind his repairs. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years. I had several co-workers highly recommend George when we first moved to Big Spring. Over the years he has told me to either repair my car or it was time to trade it in. One time my daughter broke down coming home from college & I had her car towed in 150 miles away. Yes extra expense, but that`s how much I trust George. NOT HIS EMPLOYEES. You don`t do that unless you are honest & trustworthy, especially in a small town. And how many times did you receive the peoples choice award of "best auto repair shop" in town. As far as my vehicle is concerned I paid for several parts to be replaced and yet the problem was not fixed. Essentially I was told by George that these parts were bad anyway and needed to be replaced. When I spoke to the mechanic he told me that George would not allow him to test any further and that he was told to replace the parts. So, instead of allowing the mechanic to do his job George made a guess at the prob... view morelem and I paid for it. It seems this happens quite a lot as the the mechanic expressed this to me and he was quite upset for being forced to replace the parts against his will. I do not blame the mechanic because he can only say and do so much and he is not the boss. In the end I had to send my vehicle to the dealer for the proper repair. Since talking to the mechanic we have become friends and he is the only person that I trust to work on my car. All I have to do is call him and he comes to my house and fixes it. I will not give his name due to repercussions he may receive at work. But I will give you both names of the mechanics that work there and they are Mike Baker and Tim Breitz. In my opinion you would do well to talk to one of the mechanics there to work on your car at home.
