we bought a vehicle from Excel about three months ago. The locking system wasn`t working properly so parts were ordered. It took almost 3 month to get the parts in as well as the license plates. After many stops in and many phone calls, I took it in to the service department two days ago. Handed them the license plates to put on and gave them a list of what needed to be done. They had the vehicle most of the day... view more. Found out that they only put one license plate on the vehicle. And they were supposed to reimburse us for an inspection that my husband had done on the vehicle. Only to find out the next day when I took it back to the service dept. that a moron put BOTH license plates on the front of the vehicle! Seriously! Went back the next day and a clerk at the service desk figured out what happened and fixed it herself. She told me that we would have to be pre-approved for the reimbursement and it would be mailed to us, after they already had documentation of the inspection. Finally, after being almost out of the parking lot, the clerk gave me the check for the inspection. Surely, the clerical staff are doing their job. The salesman who sold us the vehicle asked me when I was going to send some business his way. Really?!!!! This whole purchase was a nightmare. I won`t purchase anymore vehicles there and won`t recommend them to anyone. They treated us like we were second class citizens.

We got a car at Excel and will...

We got a car at Excel and will not go back there again. Our credit was good but not great due to financial problems in the past. We have worked hard to get our credit back to a good number. Excel told us that they were only checking with two finance companies and that is what we agreed for them to do. We got our car over a month ago and we are still getting letters from finance companies that they applied for us. So ... view morefar we have gotten letters from eight different finance companies. The day we got our car, they said that the first finance company said no but that the second finance company said they would finance us. If there was only two finance companies.. then why are we getting letters from other finance companies? That made me mad cause everytime someone checks your credit, it goes against it. We were so happy that we got approved for the car and we sat down to sign the papers for it. They had us signing the papers so fast and we had two salesmen and the manager around us keeping us distracted by talking to us about how great of a deal we were getting. They just showed us where to sign and did not show us everything on the paperwork. They told us about the great interest rate we were going to get and the low payments... all to find out a couple weeks later from the finance company that our "great" interest rate was actually not all that great and our "low" payments were actually higher than what we wanted. After we signed all the papers, they told us that they had to keep the paperwork until they could send it all to the finance company. They did not want us to have the papers so we would see the truth. To top everything off.. our great car that we got from them broke down the next day. They would not fix it because it was sold "as is, no warranty". We went up there the next day and our "nice" salesman did not even smile, wave, greet us. All these guys that were so nice and our friends the day before, did not even care that we were there. All they care about up there is sales. We have learned a lot from this experience.. and hope that no one else has to go through it.
