Our car broke down about 5 miles away from Childress while we were moving our car from California to Texas. We just barely managed to get the car back into town. This was the only place we could find that was open at the time. The owner knew we were desperate and took a look at our car with his Mechanic. He told us the car needed a brand new A/C compressor, condenser, belt, pulley, etc. He said that the total pri... view morece would be around $2500. I asked if there was anyway to get around not replacing the A/C because we needed to be home asap for work reasons. He said there was no way and we would have to leave it with him, he would need 7 days to fix it. Long story short, we left, went to O`reillys auto parts down the street to get a quote on the A/C and other parts needed. They told us he had just called for a quote. The part was $400 from them, he wanted about $1500 for the same thing. I did some research online and found that someone with the exact same model car as mine had the same issue, i was able to order a new pulley for my car, get a shorter belt and bypass the A/C completely. We had to stay in a hotel for 2 days waiting for the part. I fixed it myself for 60 dollars. If i co??uld rate negative stars I would. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE - DO NOT PURCHASE OR HAVE YOUR VEHICLE REPAIRED BY THIS CROOK!!
