No frills and good quality!

I have had only good experiences at Nippon. Don is like your long-time buddy who you always trust to give you advice on your car (except that he barely knows you and he actually is a top-notch mechanic). He likes what he does and is happy to help you out. He seems to be allergic to performing unnecessary work (something that some dealers have built into their business model) but if you insist, he will perform the ser... view morevices, I think. He does charge a fair price on the work he does do. I trust his judgment and respect his honesty. He does work short hours (closes in the early afternoon) so be mindful of that. He still finds ways of accommodating your schedule and he is a really nice guy.

Friendly and customer-oriented

After I bought my `86 Toyota Camry, I brought it to these folks for a look-over. It was a slow day, and the mechanic gave me a quick lesson in car maintenance and upkeep, showed me the relevant parts of the engine, and generally lubed and tightened things for me -- and then, since there was no real work to be done, he refused to charge! I got the sense that these folks really care about both cars and their customers.
