I couldn`t afford a new car so I went looking for a decent older vehicle with payments I could fit into my budget. I ended up with my Xterra from Tommy`s Auto Sales in Guthrie. They knew I am a single mom and sole support of 3 teenagers and really needed something big enough to haul everyone and dependable. I expected some possible minor repairs with a used vehicle, but less than 3000 miles later this is the neede... view mored repairs (so far): new battery and cables, distributor, oil sending unit, valve cover gasket, rear main seal, oil pan gasket, power steering pump and lines, knock sensor, tires and a yet undetermined AC leak issue. Are you kidding me!! None of these(except the battery) are minor repairs! And most of them could have easily been determined by the dealership`s mechanical staff (and fixed since the majority of costs are for labor) before putting it on the lot. I will end up spending almost as much on repairs as the purchase price. The whole point was I couldn`t afford a new car!
