I recently purchased a used vehicle from Pike County Motors and was surprised by the level of honesty I witnessed after my purchase. I sure I`m not the first person motivated to write a review after buying a used car but I am in the minority because Pike County Motors has shown me they are not only a good used car dealership but it is an honest one and a dealership I would have no issue recommending to anyone in the ... view moremarket for a used vehicle, calling Pike County Motors and the employees working there honest is an understatement. The vehicle I purchased was in need of rear shocks and a windshield wiper fluid pump. When I test drove the car it was a sunny day so I didn`t even think of using the wipers never mind needing washer fluid. Also during my test drive I didn`t notice that it needed rear shocks, probably because the road I tested it on was newly paved. Never the less I purchased the vehicle for $7000 and was assured it would pass inspection with no problem because it was checked over by a local garage they use. I owed $200 to the dealership because I was only able to come up with $6800 at the time of purchased but was allowed to take vehicle with the understanding I would get the $200 to them within the following few weeks. After having the vehicle for about a week I took it for inspection and failed because of the shocks and washer fluid pump. I made the repairs and it passed with no issues. I wrote a letter to Pike County Motors to let them know it did not pass inspection and what I had to do to make it pass. I mailed the dealership two $100 checks along with a letter requesting if they would return one of the checks to me as compensation for the costs of the repairs needed. I figured I had almost no chance of any money being returned to me! About a week later I received a letter from Pike County Motors saying they were sorry to hear of the repairs I needed to make and enclosed were TWO! that`s right both of my $100 checks had been returned to me. I don`t care where you are or who you deal with you do not find car dealerships especially used dealerships that display this level of honesty. If you are looking for a used car from an honest dealer, check with Pike County Motors first, they will take care of you, and their word actually means something.
