Great Shop! I have been her...

Now Called Mr. Tire I have been here twice in the past few months for different issues. First, was for a check engine light that would come on for a few days then go away for a day or two and the cycle would repeat. Another local shop had diagnosed this as a failing air flow sensor ($700 repair according to them). I wanted to get a second opinion and heard good things about Mr. Tire. I brought my car here and am g... view morelad I did. They replaced the PCV hose (about $80) and no more engine light; for $600 less than the other shop wanted! The next time I had the car in was for 2 things: leaking coolant and a gas/exhaust smell when running the heat or A/C. I dropped it off on a Friday evening and got a call by 9 Saturday morning. The mechanic had some follow up questions about the issues. After explaining it in a little more detail for him, he went to work. I got a call about an hour later from him saying he had the car up on the lift and since I only lived a couple blocks away, if I could come down for him to show me a couple things (didn`t sound good to me at that point). When I got there, he showed me where the issues were and ran through 2-3 options and even pointed out another problem; one of the axle boots was ripped and leaking (could cause the axle to fail and become a serious problem). The other repairs are going to be fairly expensive so I opted to put them off for another month but plan on returning to this shop for the work. Anyway, based on my experiences so far, I will be coming here from now on. Not only are the prices good, but the service has been excellent and very thorough. Highly recommended!

Very trustworthy garage

I`m not sure of the other reviewers, but I have ALWAYS experienced honest work by this garage. Recently I heard some kind of belt rustling sound under the hood. The mechanic said that it could be a simple belt OR the timing belt ($$$). He told me that he honestly didn`t think it was the timing belt and backed up his assumptions. Take Care

Though they resolve the reported problem, please be sure to verify associated asociated things.
For example, if you report issue in your head light is not working. Their initial suggestion would be to change entire head light assembly. But if you say you don`t want to change the entire headlight just the bulb that is failing, they fix head light. But after the work is complete, dim light may start fail (which is p... view moreart of whole assembly). And you need to pay additional labour charges to fix it, only because you didn`t mention dim light or they didn`t check it (blame will be on you, because you didn`t change the entire assembly). And they claim they did excellent job by replacing head light bulb.

A work that could be done by one iteration may need multipe visits, only because you are not changing the entire assembly as per their suggestion (or may be their less experience, what a customer would expect)

BE AWARE

Please be aware of this service as they take advantage of young people that are just starting out and the elderly. They provide unneccessary service and overcharge. They did this to not only my family members, but also to my elderly neighbors. The mechanics at this service are encouraged to diagnose more issues than what there trulely are. Please be aware.
