BUYER BEWARE!!!

We purchased a new 2010 Hyundai Elantra and signed loan contact for a 72month loan with Hyundai Finance. Four days later we received a call from the Finance Dept( Mr. Gordan) who informed us that our loan was no good and we would have to come in and sign a new contract for 48months with Hyundai Finance or return the vehicle. We went back and he said it had to do with a New Jersey Law, but was not able to produce a do... view morecument proving it. He said he would check out local banks to see if he could get us a 72month loan elsewhere. That didn`t make since if the other loan couldn`t be approved because of a NJ law then why would the local banks be able to approve it? Mr Gordan still kept checking anyway. We told him we didn`t want a 48month loan and we wanted our trade and deposit back and would return the new car. Well they could not return the trade or give us our deposit back, but wanted the new car back if we didn`t sign a new loan agreement for 48months that day. We were FORCED to sign the 48month contract because we need to get back and forth to work and since our trade and down payment could not be returned what other choice did we have? Mr. Gordan was NOT sympathetic at all, he keep blaming everything on the Salesman and the Office Staff. DO NOT FINANCE A CAR WITH THIS DEALERSHIP...A CONTRACT IS NOT A CONTRACT AND CAN BE CHANGED BY THEM ANY TIME THEY FEEL LIKE IT!!!
