Questionable quality

On April 21, 2010 I took my car into Total Car Care on 122nd in Portland for a brake job, tune up, drive belt replacement and general inspection to the tune of $840. Leaving the shop I was satisfied with the way the car operated and the friendly customer service I received. A few weeks later I went to use my windshield washer and neither the front nor the back washer worked. At first I thought, no big deal, probably ... view morejust a fuse. As I didn`t need to use the washer I let it go for a few more weeks. When I got around to checking the fuse, I found it to be fine. When I then popped the hood and looked at the reservoir and washer motors, I found that both of the electrical connection wires to the washer motors had been unplugged. I plugged the wires back in and everything worked again. Problem solved. Then I started to think, why were these unplugged in the first place? Then I began to wonder, if they needed to be unplugged for some reason and did not get plugged back in was it just a simple oversight? Was it an attempt to get me to return for more service? I also wondered if the mechanic had overlooked this detail, what other details might the mechanic have missed or failed to complete properly? Needless to say, I am apprehensive about returning to Total Car Care for my future service needs. km
