phils transmissions is a scam artist! i took my truck in there and they said they would do a "diagnostic" the only thing they did was drive it around. after they called me back they told me it was totaly blown! he also told me it would be 3500 to replace and thats definately what i needed (how he thought he knew this is beyond me) then he told me if i was to go get a used transmission he would put it in for... view more 400-600. i went out of town to get buy one and did. On my return to phils he told me now it was going to cost me 1200 because he didnt like installing others transmissions. after telling him to shove it his top mechanic who did the dianostic told me as i was leaving that all he did was put 4 quarts of trany fluid in it and it drove fine and i could drive it home no problem. to say the least phills is a rip off garage....they try to take advantage of others lack of knowlege of transmissions worst mistake was ever taking it tho this garage!
