Misdiagnosed my problem.

I took my vehicle to aamco on 15th street and told them I believed that there was a wiring issue because my transmission would intermittently work. They told me I needed a new transfer case controller for 479 dollars. 12 miles after leaving their shop I had the same symptoms as before. It took them 3 more days to find the bad connector in my wiring. Of course this was a completely ""new"" problem and the transfer... view more case controller had really ""fixed"" my problem. This is also an independent location so although they carry the aamco name. corporate will not get involved. Do yourself a favor and pick another transmission shop. Edited to add that the manager did call and they gave me a 50 percent refund.
