The dealership I go to told me I needed new tires so I decided to do some price shopping. I went to a few stores. Firestone measured all four tires, showed me how to find the wear indicators, and suggested I come back in 10,000 miles.

Beware, I took my pickup truck in for an oil change, special only $19.95 and left it while they changed the oil. Later I got a call for them telling me I needed a tune-up which an estamated cost of $300.00. When I went in I asked how did they know I needed a tune up, what diagnostic test did they do? I was told they did no test but based on the mileage they recommended a tune-up. I explained I had a tune up 6 month... view mores ago. I used to believe these guys were on the ball and did excellent work, however they no longer have any credibility with me. I would be suspicious of anything they tell me and I will not be using them again.
