Pink`s "Custom" Auto Paint was easily one of the worst business experiences I have ever has the displeasure of enduring. I had to do an overwhelming amount of hand-holding through this process, and even then I was subjected to taking my car back multiple times for "fixes," which only amounted to making horrible mistakes... slightly less horrible mistakes. I made it painfully obvious in black and w... view morehite and word for word from day one that I was interested only in perfection, not sloppiness, since the vehicle being cared for was a flawless show car with as much invested under the hood as the cost of the automobile itself. What I ended up receiving was an amateur careless lazy attempt at doing things properly, and to make the entire situation worse, it took weeks and weeks longer than originally estimated, along with the worse part of it all: I was made to feel inferior, as if my legitimate concerns which were documented and easily visible, weren`t worthy of addressing. I fought tooth and nail, and eventually got the vehicle to the point where I at least felt half-way like driving home with it and just counting my losses and moving on. I was actually afraid to leave such a hefty investment in the hands of this home-garage company to be honest a second longer! The vinyl stripes were wrinkled and literally folded over each other, black paint or fingernail polish of some sort was actually used to fill in gaps and poor craftsmanship around the car to mask or hide imperfections, and believe it or not even the side exhaust system which was well beyond $2,000 was yanked down with a SLAB OF WOOD (he actually admitted this to me!), causing deep marring and gouges in the stainless steel material (which was ultimately polished and fixed AFTER bringing it up and simply refusing to accept the damages done to the exhaust). The handling of the situation from start to finish was an absolute abomination, the communication was short and non-apologetic, and I was left feeling far beyond distraught over the treatment of both my dream car and myself as a paying customer. I was even personally referred to this place by a friend, and was still given treatment I wouldn`t expect or put up with at a flea market. The `business` is run out of the home garage and is a one-man show, there are NO down-draft paint booths, NO hydraulic lifts, NO baking equipment-booths to properly cure/dry and set the paint, and the finishing process (wet sanding, compounding, and buffing to a jewel like surface) was just horrendous (Swirl marks and spider webs everywhere). At one point, there was a huge clump of residue left on the hood of the vehicle, one of the few parts that was left un-painted and was still in immaculate perfect condition, and the owner continued to use the corner of his flannel shirt to try and reach it and wipe it, and then grabbed a nearby filthy cotton rag in stead, rubbing as hard and fast as he could, ACTUALLY PUTTING SCRATCHES INTO THE CLEAR COAT AS I STOOD THERE AND WATCHED, LITERALLY! I am not exaggerating on any imaginable level when I say I actually contemplated contacting the BBB on several occasions, and even small claims court to try and recoup my losses - but I was so exhausted and emotionally spent after all the endless back and forth and trying to remain calm and smile through it all, I just wanted to park the car in my garage and hide it from anyone seeing it. After the thousands of dollars spent, all I remember in the end was shaking my head in disbelief, and I seriously didn`t even want anyone to see my car. My own family and even friends and grandparents in their 70`s would look at the car, look at me, and then say "Is that supposed to be like that?" One of the worst experiences of my adult life, bar none. Avoid this place like the bubonic plague if you value your car, your time, your money, and want to be treated like a valued customer on ANY LEVEL WHATSOEVER!!!
