Watch for Bait and Switch Tactics

To keep this short and simple, I took my car into the service center because of a bumping sound that happened when I turned corners. They pointed out about $1,000.00 worth of repairs they said were probably causing the bump sound. I decided to get the work done, and was told it would take about three hours to complete, so I reluctantly decided to wait in the waiting area. NINE HOURS LATER, I got my car back, with alm... view moreost all of the oil drained out of it. The low oil indicater light quickly alerted me of that problem, so they called it strange, and put the oil back in right then.

Two weeks later I took my car into a different Conrad`s service center because my brakes were squeaking. The second conrad`s quickly removed the tires and pointed out that I needed $1,200.00 worth of brake work, and couldn`t explain why the first Conrad`s didn`t see it. This too was strange, because I had gotten all of the brakes, rotors, and pads replaced about a year ago or less.

While the technician was showing me all the work that needed to be done, I asked him to show me the parts that were supposed to be replaced two weeks earlier, and he pointed out some extreamly rusty, flaking dry rotting parts on one side of the car, and couldn`t find any parts on the other side of the car that even looked close to being two weeks old.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE NEW PARTS THAT WERE SUPPOSED TO BE PUT ONTO THE CAR?

I suspect that the technician oiled up whatever was bumping, and charged me for a ton of repairs and parts that they never put on, or done.

If you get your car repaired here, have someone that knows cars to follow up on the work and or parts that you were charged for, or better yet, don`t go to Conrad`s at all.
