I received a verbal quote and a time that the car would be completed. I was out of state attending my uncle`s funeral at the time. Shawver took it upon himself to order additional parts, a kit which included a duplicate part that was already provided without permission or consulting with me first. It is my understanding that the law protects people from being taken advantage of by mechanics. Anything over $100 fro... view morem the original quote must be submitted in writing and approved prior to performing the repair. The final bill was an $200 above what I was originally quoted. He refused to release the car without full payment even after he told me to pay him what was fair. The car wouldn`t even start when I picked it up and has been running very rough ever since. I have no idea what he did to my car but I will never do business with him again! BEWARE! This guy is very dishonest!!
