I`ve bought tires and wheels from these guys before and it was an `okay` experience (sales reps always seem like they could be bothered). No one seems to go out of their way to ensure repeat business. It seems like it`s a chore for them to help you out when you`re looking to spend money with them. I`ve recently attempted getting a quote on a much more expensive set of tires and wheels, this time over the phone and ha... view mored to wait a few times and also got disconnected. When I did talk to a `sales` rep (I use the word lightly) he came off as rude, impatient and annoyed. I guess spending over $2500 is chump change for these guys in this economy. Great Service, Very Personable

Lots of tire and wheel places around Charlotte. So lots of big chains to take your money and leave you hanging! This place is a family run business in Concord NC that has been in business 40 years. The only way you stay around that long is by treating people right and knowing your business. At Punchy Whitake`s they treat you like you are the only one they have to wait on. But I have no regrets whatsoever. They treated us fairly and did and amazing job setting up the wheels on the car. My wife drives the car everyday and continually gets comments on how awesome the wheels are. The technician we worked with at Punchy`s was patient and informed us of what works and what doesn`t. He called around to see what wheels he could get and made several recommendations once he knew our tastes. No pressure. No hassle. Just great customer service. I will only buy from Punchy Whitakers from now on even though it is an hour from our Charlotte home.

Great business

Being in business for 40 years definitely shows here. They were very helpful and told me all my options and gave me honest recommendations, even when their recommendation prevented them from making money. Can not complain for anything.
