Mr. Carlson spent a decade designing parts for Steeda Autosports before forming Realspeed Automotive in 2004. Racing has always been a passion for Dan, whether it was a little 13 foot boat when he was 10 years old, rallying his friends to take all their cars to the drag strip for a grudge-match, or competing in road races with the Sports Car Club of America. Today Dan?ˆ™s Mustang runs the quarter mile in 10.4 @ 132 mph and gets 22 mpg on the highway and 16 mpg around town. It is still driven daily, out-handles most other mustangs on the road, and is used for everything from weekend cruising to picking the kids up from school. All this is accomplished with the help of about a dozen parts that Dan designed himself, and most of those parts are available right here at realspeedautomotive.com.
