Get what you pay for

Called to rent a vehicle and company was not up front on all charges. Was told a van would be 225 a week. Got there to pick it up and they automatically add insurance of $15 a day. As we were driving away I realized we should check to see if any other taxes or charges will show up and of course there were. We were going to trade the van in for a smaller vehicle more within our price range. They allowed us to keep the... view more van at the car rate until they got a car in stock. I was impressed....until I picked up the car and drove it home to wake up the next day with a flat tire. I called and they said to put on the spare and drive it there (35 mins away) and they would fix it. I go to put the spare on and there are no tools with the spare and my tools did not fit. They refused to send someone out or have it towed..told me to borrow the correct tools or find a way to drive there to pick up the tool to drive back to put on the spare to drive BACK to them for them to fix it or pay for the tire repair myself and they would reimburse me...however they would not be able to reimburse me same day. Said to me that it wasn`t their fault I drove over a nail or something. Results are pending..a local garage it going to look at it..... As for almost new..that is correct. The passenger side window did not work on the van we originaly had and had issues when shifting from park to drive or reserve (clunked) and this car vibrates when braking (roters?) and the power locks don`t work.
