I got stuck one afternoon on 91st street. I called GWB Towing and they showed up in 35 minutes, they gave me a jumpstart, but this was also the 3rd time I was towed, so I decided it is time to take the car to a mechanic. They had a Flat Bed Tow truck, so it was nice, cause this way I knew my BMW will not be damaged, and then towed my car to my Mechanic, on the west side of Manhattan. We had an issue with our engine and got stuck on a rainy night in NJ. We called GWB Towing and they responded to us in less than 30 minutes. The driver was super nice and immediately offered us to sit in his truck while he was doing basic diagnostic and jump starting the car. We were concerned we may get stuck again, so he offered to tow us to his Repair Shop. It turned out that it was a bad battery. GWB Towing saved the day, and we were still able to meet our friend that evening. We paid $150.00 for the towing and $100 for the new battery, which is same as if would purchased it at Sears. We Salute GWB Towing for a great service with a smile, and for being honest and decent in an industry that does not have a great reputation. Needless to say we recommend it to anyone.

My car was taken here on the recommendation of ACK Towing (Andrew C. Kamenos Jr.), which I would also avoid if possible. Don`t go on their garage ""recommendation,"" you`ll pay to much. The problem with GWB was that I was supposed to be given an ""estimate"" before proceeding with any repairs. They took the liberty of ordering parts and installing sensors without my approval! The crank position sensor they were... view more telling me I needed to replace was just replaced last year (March, 2010). I`m also not convinced that they didn`t break the coolant temp sensor housing they gave me in two pieces either. There had been ZERO issues with temp or coolant in any way prior to them tearing into the engine. The owner (I think it was) tried telling me that I had to pay for a new temp sensor housing which he had took the liberty of ordering even though it hadn`t even been installed! He tried to tell me that his parts distributor wouldn`t be giving him credit and take the part back (which is extremely common amongst automotive businesses). Basically he was trying to make me stay with him and perform the work there, which I didn`t. I took it to Lotte Auto Body (201-585-2244) and learned that GWB has a reputation for trying to pull this kind of thing. When I balked at his $95 dollar ""diagnostic"" fee things got very tense and his logic began twisting in knots. I ended up paying $75 for the ""diagnostic"" and settling the tow bill of $175 ($175!!) for ACK Towing. I would not recommend either company unless you enjoy paying inflated prices because you`re not a ""return customer."" Save yourself the trouble and call Red Hill Towing (201) 679-8073 and go talk to Joe at Lotte Auto Body. They`re all straight shooters; no games and reasonably priced.

They were very prompt, my car was in and out in no time, the mechanic was professional in answering my questions and recommendations. Now my car is running like it should and it didn`t cost me as much as I expected, so I`m happy! ;)

i was coming back from new york city and my car die on me so i got the phone number from 411 and i just needed to make a phone call and they got there after 15 minutes the service was great, than mechanics they really know what they doing and the owner is such a nice guy.. I definitively recommend this place and as of today the owner will be my mechanic. I thought i wiil have to really ask for a loan to pay the bill... view more but the price were just the right ones. From now on all my friends go to gwb towing company to fixe their cars
