I decided to check out R&D out after finding them after a little research on the internet. I had previously had a cat back system put on my pathfinder a few years back and it was starting to fall apart. Rather than go back to a regular automotive shop I figured that I would inquire with a ""custom exhaust"" shop.

I arrived at R&D at 8:30am, unannounced, and was met by Rick. I told Rick what I thought was wr... view moreong with my Pathfinder and that I only planned on keeping it for a year to a year and a half longer. He put my truck up on the lift, inspected it and called me over to check it out too. He showed me what was wrong, which I had already known having crawled under it the previous evening, and he made some recommendations. He informed me that me that my muffler was fine and that it had plenty of life left. Rick cut out and replaced the portions of the exhaust system that had rotted out and cut of the rear condensor (that had broken off due to Nissans terible design. This is a common occurance with 02 and 03 Pathfinders from what I`ve read and learned) and welded a new tail pipe section on with an heavy guage metal all around and a better hanger system in the tail section. I figured a few hours of work, minimum and at the minimum five to six hundred dollars for the exhaust. What Rick recommended and did cost me one hundred and seventy five dollars and forty minutes out of my day. He again called me over to the lift when he had finished and showed me what he had done and checked for leaks in his welds in front of me.

Good work and a great experience. I will definately recommend and would not hesitate to go back.

Been going there 4 years, don`t plan on going elsewhere as long as these guys are open. always clean even and consistent welds that last. i made the mistake of going elsewhere once to save a hundred bucks on some custom work. big mistake, what i got were sloppy popcorn welds that blew apart in just months of daily driving. i went back to r&d and they made it beautiful

The price I was quoted for a cat-back exhaust was dirt cheap and came in exactly as promised on the phone. These guys are definately gearheads and know their stuff. I`ll def. be back!!!!!!

Rick and Todd along with Johnny run the best shop I have ever been to! I use them as my exhaust guys and regular mechanics, they do outstanding work, will not treat you like a moron, and above all are HONEST! They never overcharge, and are straight with all customers. Three of the nicest and funniest mechanics I know, take it from someone who`s been going there for over 5 years! A+ Guys!
